Himea deflected Bakegama's spear with her own scepter while stepping aside. So, the wanna-be victorian noble knew the basics of hand to hand battle - which, by all accounts, shouldn't have been surprising considering both of them were summoners and that Kaeru would probably soon show off her own hand to hand capacity. Or she should have liked to, but she instead had to duck out of the way of an incoming projectile aiming for her that looked like...a hat?

She saw what probably was Himea's partner land close by, which would most likely complicate things.
"You girls like to talk, but can you even back it up?"

Things then happened in quick succession.

When Shatterscape landed behind Bakegama, her metal gauntlets were struck aside by a shield of unknown origin to Kaeru - she couldn't worry about it for now, though. Having spotted the gauntlet wielding magical girl chasing, and seeing this new opening from an unexpected ally, Kaeru waited at just the right moment to channel her magic and jump up to launch herself over the shield and begin her attack. At the same time Bakegama, not easily fooled it seemed, thrusted his two-forked spear downward, trying to catch Himea's scepter into the ground all while using it's Gong shield to slam into Shatterscape and push her backward. It's tongue emerged and rose into the skies where it reached it's master and, in a whip-like fashion, sent Kaeru flying. The frog maiden crashed feet first into the would be attacking Bishop, probably sending it crashing and slide across the floor, Kaeru herself riding it for a few meters before she was about to make another move, but...

Bonk

"What the...?"

The world narrowed down to just the girl standing now before Sayuri. She held a violin, which was probably just used to hit her with.

"...Who are you?"

“I promise it’s nothing personal. I just needed to get your attention! I believe you’re in danger, and kind of surrounded. I could help you, you know and make this a fairer fight!”

Sayuri looked at Willow for a solid second, head to feet and back again. Did she see her hanging out with Rei...? Possibly. One thing was for certain; staying here any longer was bad news. With Nonsuch nowhere in sight and the new girl Sayuri needed to reach soon, she was hopelessly outnumbered. This violinist help, while dubious at best, at least gave Kaeru a good opportunity at making a clean exit and sparing her near certain harm.

"Sounds cute and all - but I'm not much of a musician myself you see? My friend, however..."

Just then, the Yokai frog took what seemed like a deep breath and unleashed an attack in the form of an impossibly loud croaking sound that was meant to disrupt the girls nearest to him. It was so loud and abrupt, it would push them back and force them to cover their ears for a second, allowing Kaeru to mount back onto her summon, Bakegama taking a leap backward and out of harm's way at first...

"Thank you all for the exercise. Someone has entered my domain and I need to see to my guests so I'll leave you to your club's activities now. See ya around!"

...then it launched itself into the skies so she'd leave the same way she arrived, leaving not only Himea's scepter stuck into the ground beneath the spear, but also a cheeky memento in the form of a Frog atop her head, lazily croaking. How did it even got there?!

Enough distractions. Rei was right about one thing; the mountains were hers. Evil eye wasn't the only ones with spies at her disposition, and at least one pair of small, bulging eyes were stuck onto Homura, hidden nearby.
Lot more people on the Frog than I thought there would be. haha

*stressed frog sounds*
@CamiCat I love you for this forever

Yui immediately regretted stepping forward and speaking out loud - as she knew she would. However, she was now enough of an adult to realize sometimes it was necessary to put yourself in such uncomfortable situation...and yet.

"W-what?" she said as if pulled back from within the confines of her own wandering mind. Her world focus was taken from the fairy and locked onto Izumi. "What are you s-saying, Nōno-san?! No, of course not! That would be r-ridiculous..." she said, and then lower and lower as kept speaking more for herself then her peers; "...It would make no sense, right? And b-beside, it was so long ago a-and... it wasn't for that long, so... ᵃⁿᵈ ᶦᵗ ʷᵃˢ ᶦⁿ ᵃⁿᵒᵗʰᵉʳ ᵗᵒʷⁿ ᵃⁿʸʷᵃʸ..."

But that is beyond the point! Right? If there is one student at risk - or anyone really - and we may be able to do something about it, then is it not our duty to try? As you all so well said already... isn't it our duty as teachers?!

Yes. The mentally prepared sentence was perfect. it explained Yui's deep down emotions with conviction and certainty. Surely, it would demonstrate, at least, she stood right there beside her colleagues.

"But t-that--" her trembling voice barely made it past that before Izumi answered with a firm 'I'm in.' An incredulous Yui looked at her for a second before composing herself. In truth, Izumi said exactly what Yui wanted - albeit in a much shorter and to the point format. Still, she briefly turned to Amber.

"Thank you, Bianchi-sama!" she said in a short breath after hearing her propose to take her shift. it was probably answered by a thumbs up or something of the sort without Amber ever even looking up. It did not matter that Amber knew exactly nothing of what was happening and being discussed; she suggested to help, so Yui thanked her automatically before turning back to the matter at hand.

As she did so, her heat skipped a beat as she moved in trying to protect the Fairy with her hands from an axe wielding Andrew. "W-wait please n-no!" she said as if her hands would even stop the axe from reaching the fairy. When she opened her eye she was met by Andrew probably giving her a puzzled look before saying his piece. "Oh..."

Just as surprised she turned to Hata, their resident senior and Geography teacher whom Yui respected accordingly.
"A-are you sure?" It wasn't that she didn't want to take the offer, but... more likely, Yui was worried due to Hata's age. Warranted or not.
She wasn't going to stick around for another dramatic re-enactment of the second Plague of Egypt.

Had me laugh out loud. Hahaha !@Emeth

I'll wait for Kriegspiel's partner to post before I answer further.

@Emeth Ahhh missed your answer hahah

Thanks !
The Frogs do the Moist-ing for Sayuri so she can remain based !

After a fairly short panic and anxiety attack hidden in the confines of the staff bathroom, Yui resigned herself to finally come out, silently, and slide in softly onto one of the free seat by the window where one or two plants took a sun bath. The fairy went on to explain her deal and what all this was about, but a majority of the others did not believe it. Of course. It was already surprising enough that they even spoke to the flying little person, considering most adults wouldn't even entertain this type of practical joke.

Of course, this was no practical joke.

"I..." Yui began with a much too low tone, actually being spoken over by Shinobu's laughter and following speech.

"Actually, I think..." she began again, raising a finger forward this time but instantly retreating on herself when Emiko took over to chastise Kohaku on both the nature of the shows and also the need to actually help anyone in need. She was right, of course.

"Hummm!" Yui finally mustered to make a sound audible enough for people to actually notice her, hand closed into fists to give her the courage to do so. She softly walked forward towards the floating fairy and sat closer to her. "She's speaking the truth. You are, right?" Yui brought her index finger to the fairy to softly poke at her cheek, just to make suuuure she was really physical.

"So, hum.... let's say we were to accept your offer, right? If, hypothetically speaking, one of us had already been in a similar kind of boat, could - hypothetically , of course - but could that person have week ends... off...? she said with both fingers pointed against one another, thumbs up and lips pinched.
Froooooooooooogs.

Sayuri felt something happen as Homura was trying to grasp what was happening. It was a feeling she felt before... no, not a feeling - magic. She was being drained. So be it. Let them drain away, for they would discover that Sayuri had enough positivity for the whole lot of the Depression Club if they wanted it.

Her attention was fixed on Shatterscape, though, even as Nonsuch pitched in, probably trying to get a reaction out of them. Sayuri was glad she had accompanied her here, though. They were attracting a lot of attention and things to come were sure to be easier with support. Fight or not.

"Concessions?"

Kaeru was brought back to the discussion at end with Shatterscape first bit of monologuing. At first, Kaeru's whole face expression seemed to suggest surprise and awe at the discourse that was presented to them. it stayed like that until Shatterscape finished speaking, after which... Sayuri simply started laughing. A frank and honest laughter. The massive Frog behind her also seemed to actually accompany her in this, letting out amused croaking.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry... You mean to lecture me on the sanctity of 'sacred grounds' and 'shrines'? I'm sorry, but who made you this city's keepers if not yourselves - and for no other's benefice but your own selfish desires, too. Your grand discourse could be impressive - if it wasn't so sadly misguided and deluded! Let me tell you what this city is, apart from your 'sacred grounds'..."

Kaeru straightened up from her previous crouched position to launch an accusative finger at Shatterscape; "My Home!"

"You might hunt Miseria, but only to spread just as much misery and selfishness around you. I will be dead before I leave this town and it's citizens, which my family has been watching over for as long as memory serves, to decay under the rule of a few girls too weak minded to understand the definition of duty - or uphold their original promises!
A taunt, a threat, a challenge and, perhaps, a vow. All in one. Though regular Sayuri was indeed a ray of sunshine to those around her, it felt as if she had given up on the fallen magical girls. She saw them as nothing more than an added misery that fell on her home town. She knew the Miseria and it's dangers - she did not know what kind of permanent damage the Dark ones could possibly do, and so she treated them like another threat to protect the town from.

But the talks were ended right then and there. Kaeru felt it before she saw it, though it was all she needed. The massive frog behind her was already in motion, jumping forward. While in the air, Kaeru's magic enveloped it, twisting it's form in a way barely visible through the light of her magic covering the creature. The beam of Kriegspiel's magic found a target - but not the intended one. The Frog had changed to perhaps it's true intended form: as the dust settled, it was revealed the frog now stood on two legs. One of it's hand held a great Gong like a shield, which was what blocked the laser. The other held a great spear. From it's agape mouth flowed it's breath as it exhaled, rainbow in color and a great, longue tongue that whipped at the air.

"Bakegama!"

"Kero-kero!" it answered with a deep, cavernous croaking voice in agreement.

Kaeru jumped atop it's back, giving the briefest of look back at Nonsuch trusting she'd know what to do. With Homura already on the move and Kaeru about to leave, she'd hope Nonsuch might keep Shatterscape here busy from potentially coming after her. The now Yokai-looking frog then jumped high and towards the source of the attacker - aiming to thrust it's spear directly at Kriegspiel upon landing.
Light girls being Light girls, I was thinking of splitting up.

I feel like if this turns to full on fight it will also be easier to keep track of who's with who if it's different groups. :x

I'm coming for you, @LuckyBlackCat
