He isn't a twig but he is skinny and lanky which adds to his comedic factor. His smile is wide and caring with a strong chin to compliment it. Shaggy hair that is always combed back and occasionally spiked up. He wears a 5 O'clock shadow and a large nose. Usually he wears whatever is comfortable, this tends to mean jeans, an old pair of sneakers, a T-shirt and zip-up hoodie. Occasionally he can be found wearing a baseball cap. Personality: Immature, Clever, Witty, Goofy, Annoying. These are all words that people use to describe Charlie. He has a certain stance that is passive and caring. This usually leads to him being a doormat and punching bag for any angry person in his vicinity. He prefers to just take the abuse, he considers himself quite the pacifist. Very open to change he is nobody to put his foot down, though his status he considers himself an everyman. Very giving, if you need a few dollars for something or have no money for lunch consider him your guy. If your stapler runs out of staples just let him know and he will pick up enough staples for the whole studio the next time he goes shopping. He likes to wear this character people seem to like, he talks in an over-confident voice. Acts like he is smarter than the average-joe he is and pretends he knows better. This is more of a defense mechanism than anything, it's to deter any attacks on his self-esteem. He is a very fragile person when it comes to repetitive attacks on him. The cocky-showboat character only appears on occasion when he's in the mood to get a few laughs. Not a stranger to drugs he has done his fair share but feels they are only a once in a blue-moon thing. He is the worst at comebacks when the person actually means the insult and is overly-passive. --- History:Born in a not-so small town in Ohio, Charlie had a middle class upbringing. His father worked in a mill and his mother was a teacher, nothing seemed to stick out about Charlie or his upbringing. The only difference between his family and every other family in his county was the over-generosity of his parents. His father loved to give gifts and his mother loved doing work in the community. They would always put aside a large amount of money each year for a christmas party, everybody of every backround was invited and fed. Charlie's grandparents had started this tradition of giving and it carried through the family. Charlie learned a smile is the best thing you can give someone. The happiness in the air during those parties was great, never a dull or sad moment. However Charlie's family was still middle-class, and he received one and only one small gift each christmas. "To give is better than to receive" was a common thing said in the Esgar household. Charlie dedicated himself from an early age to giving joy and by high-school he had a system developed. He would listen to and watch as many comedians as he could and filter the bad jokes and tell them directly to his friends. He would indulge himself in the world of comedy, and by doing this he soon became a class-clown. He was more a rip-off artist than anything but he was still getting laughs. Then in high-school he experienced his first real heartbreak. He had been turned down times a many before and every year a girl said no to him. This girl was different, she meant more than anything to him and she ended up using him. He was planning his future with her and assumed it would last more than the four years it did. The false hope she had created had almost put Charlie into a ecstasy of joy.The heartbreak sent him into a depressive spiral, he slept most of his time off and kept anything funny he thought of, in his head. Suddenly the school seemed to forget about him, he slipped back into the crowd and disappeared. Though he loved the spotlight his low-self esteem attacked him constantly. He himself realized he had nothing funny to say that someone hadn't said before. He had spent his life in a shadow, and finally in college the pain was too much. His parents death hammered the final nail in his coffin. He was going to commit suicide. He wrote a note to his parents saying he was sorry and how he deserved nothing short of death. After googling how to tie a noose he bought a rope and followed the instructions. He tied the rope to the ceiling fan of his dumpy apartment and put George Carlin on the TV, this was how he wanted it to end. However when he kicked the chair out from under him Carlin said the punchline. He couldn't help but let out a laugh as he gagged and choked, a bliss hit him. It was the floor of his apartment. The ceiling fan had broke and laughing and coughing on the floor with a ceiling fan on his back he gained back hope. His crave for the spotlight had drove him all the way from his community college in Ohio to Los Angeles. Knowing well that he had a very slim chance of making it. He joined an improv group, started writing his own material, and went to college for creative writing and acting. He performed from small slum bars to well known clubs such as The Improv. He killed it everywhere he went, finally gaining enough popularity he took his show on the road. Performing at college after college, club after club. Only to be discovered by one of the cast members of a show called SNL. This cast member relayed to Lorne Michaels and within two months Charlie was writing and playing a small part on the show. He became a featured cast member in just 1 short year. This lead to movie offers and other guest starring opportunities, he was put on the fast track to fame. He craves something new however, he would like to explore a more serious role and see how he fares on his acting chops alone.
