Ignia's hand went to her heaving chest, startled by someone calling out. When she turned her attention to this man, she was taken aback. The captain had looked noble to her, but this man he... well it was just too much. Even her Master, who owned slaves, didn't look like this. And what kind of attire was that for a ship? Of course, she supposed she couldn't speak considering what she was wearing. Still, it was strange. He seemed cheerful, almost, as if he had no idea what he was getting into. And that smirk... it sent a shiver right through her. Nothing good would come of that smirk, and for some reason, Ignia was sure it was for her.

Instead of focusing on the noble, she instead turned to the man a few feet away from her. It didn't take much courage to walk up to him. Ignia was a slave, but she was used to talking to people. After all, her Master used her for entertainment at parties, people were always commenting on her dancing or singing skills, despite the fact that she was technically property. Although, sometimes, they complimented her Master as if he had been the one doing those things.

"Hello! It's..." here she paused, trying to remember. "Nëis.. right?" She smiled a bit, trying to look friendly. "You don't really look like you want to talk, but I figure if we're going to be stuck on this boat together for however long, we should all get to know each other. Besides, you're up here too, so I guess we have that in common, yes?"

Again, she turned to the railing of the ship, leaning over it. "I wonder what the Captain will make us do. I'm not sure I have many skills to contribute. I can do first aid, but nothing serious. I'm not a doctor or anything, obviously," here she gestured to the bands around her wrists. "All I can really do is silly stuff. Dancing, singing, that's not useful on a ship. And I can cook, but not like.. a professional or anything. I'm sure someone here is better than me at that too." Ignia turned to look at him again, not sure if she was annoying him. "What do you think he'll have you do? Do you have skills?"
