Matt - Summer Vacation in October Matt followed everyone else onto the shore carrying two duffels. He wore a pair of swimming trunks with a fiery design on them, a plain white t-shirt, a pair of crocks, and sunglasses. He didn't wear a hat. He stepped on the shore and smiled. He always wanted to go to the tropics, but never had been able to. Now he was on a private island. Fun in the sun minus the crowds. This was going to be marvelous! He looked around. It seemed that about half of his other school-mates were enjoying themselves. The other half either were sea sick or something else. He headed towards the tiny town on one side of the island. From far away, it looked nice. Up close, it looked even better. Matt entered the building meant for him and his dorm mate, who he didn't get to meet yet. He put his bags on the floor of one of the bedrooms, kicked of his shoes, and lay on the bed. Somehow the school people had managed to make it nice and cool in the little hut, and Matt was thankful. At least they had somewhere to go if they got sunstroke.
