They have been largely untouched, aside from a rebellion in Greece that freed it from Ottoman control. Serbia participated in the Swiss Debt War, but their support was probably very limited. Aside from that, [i]if[/i] we're keeping the canon as it was, which I can't remember, the only noteworthy thing to happen was Croatia/Slovenia getting their independence from Austria after Prussia annexed it and found it was too much trouble trying to also annex Croatia along with it. Because, while Austria joined up without a fight, the same could probably not have been said for the already super nationalistic Croats.
