Alex's first thought were incredibly childishly and foolishly hilarious. Something along the lines of the short distance between them and a compliment. Something like "you have beautiful eyes". It would get him killed for sure, but hey, dying laughing is one of the few tolerable ways to go. She would probably find the real reason childish and kill him anyway. Eh, Alex didn't hate life, but he did not care about dying.
"... The deer.... An irreversible act has been committed to only serve a temporary purpose...." Alex says casually referring to the idea of killing an eating it or any animal really. He did not like majority of people's replies to him expressing care for a dead animal anywhere. The typical answer was an insult that was thrown around like nothing.
