I did like the idea of Rita as a TEENAGER WITH ATTITUDE! that you mentioned in the OP, at least. And of course we'd need to have Zedd somehow.

Also, there was a recent sentai movie that brought back Goldar's Japanese equivalent Grifforzor with [url=http://static2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20131126210529/powerrangers/images/b/b1/Neo-Grifforzer.jpg]an awesome new design[/url], so if you want to re-use Goldar I'd suggest going with that look for him.
