More complicated than I perceived
I pictured the Prodigy as being one of those things that defied logic and explanation in the beginning. 
It's their strength and innate ability that makes them so desirable as pawns to some and reviled as almost heretics to others.

But then I'm basically a neophyte as far as the Alchemic mechanics go and was concentrating more on the mystery of their appearance than how powerful they are.
