Caelyn let out a chuckle, after hearing Vance getting so perturbed at what seemed to be an intentional mispronunciation of his name. To his credit Vance did hand Caelyn some food and he always was grateful for that. "Anything I can be doing to help? I am pretty good at lifting and moving things. And if me leaving is the best thing to help you then just let me know." Caelyn bowed. Caelyn noticed the newly promoted cook's hand shake just slightly, but what followed was more noticeable. "He doesn't like to lose control of his calm." Caelyn noted to himself. "Although if I had 50 people in a small little kitchen trying to take over my nerves may make me shake too." he thought. "Viper was it? Don't let them get to you. When I get too worked up, I just remember to slow my breathing. It really helps, you should try it." he offered with a nod. "Anyways I'll take my leave, if you need anything I'll be finding the captain. Caelyn set out to find the captain, he had an idea of what he may be able to offer up on the ship. "Um... Captain Deren, I know I didn't make the best first impression and I do apologize. I am not savvy with sailing, but I do have a really good set of eyes. Might I be of any help? Also, my mother taught me about the constellations and some about astrology growing up. I am sure you are educated very well and all but I could help it you need it." Caelyn blushed. "What am I doing? Trying to use my education as a tool? I am just an ignorant slave trying to appear a noble. He's going to see right through it and put me on some menial task like swabbing the deck." Caelyn zoned out and it had to appear like he left the conversation completely to the captain.
