Destroy the core? Simple enough. Kirk's dealt with his far share of flying enemies to know how to handle these ones, and now he knew their weakness. Determined to kill the enemies, Kirk ran with Soa until he found a series of elevations he could use to get to some high ground. Luckily since the winged enemies seemed to be chasing Soa, they had a fairly predicable flight pattern, and while their attacks were powerful, they couldn't hit a small target like Soa. Kirk also heard gunfire, and occasionally would have seen that Xia girl from before ducking in and around cover to shoot at the winged enemies, but to no effect. He'd have to show her how it's done. There wasn't much rooftop left before Kirk would have to keep running on the ground, so he dashed as fast as he could as he neared towards the end of the ledge. than with a mighty leap, he flung his body towards the nearest assailant. He slashed at the enemy, his barbed blades digging into it's flesh. He could already see that it was healing from the damage however, but Kirk wasn't finished yet. His weight at least was able to force the attacker onto the ground and her it's assault on Soa. Kirk didn't give the creature a chance to recover, bashing his spiky shield into it's back. He was so vicious and so brutal that eventually he did tear away enough of the attacker's flesh and bones that he saw something that looked out of the ordinary; some sort of ball or orb around the heart area. This must have been the "Core" that Soa spoke of. Kirk continued to launch fast, brutal punches with his thorny shield onto the core, causing it to crack. He raised his arm high once more and brought it down with all the force he could muster, right onto the enemy's core. It shattered inside the flesh, bits and pieces exploding outwards and bouncing off Kirk's armor. "Destroy it's core!" Kirk shouted to Xia as he went off to find Soa.
