Brief Bio: Before she was the princess who became famous in the stories for noticing a pea under a lot of mattresses, she was a warrior prince known for his prowess on the battlefield. Leading his kingdom’s army with impressive tactical ability and strength, he became well known for his many victories. Sadly, all that success went to his head and made him very annoying. After getting on the bad side of a certain enchantress, he was transformed into a very frail young girl in the hopes that he would learn some humility. Unfortunately, he was on a campaign at that time and his platoon was ambushed shortly after the incident. The prince barely escaped and later collapsed in the middle of a forest with no knowledge of his location. The prince of another kingdom found “Karin” in a terrible condition in the middle of the woods and insisted on having her brought to the palace for treatment. Upon her awakening, she was thoroughly questioned by the prince and the queen, and told them that she was the child of royalty. The queen didn’t believe her due to her oddly un-ladylike mannerisms and strange clothing. The prince started to become attached to her as she stayed to recover, though, so the queen devised a plan to test the truth of her story. Hiding a pea under the several mattresses of the bed she was to rest in one night, she planned to ask her how she slept in the morning. Due to Karin’s new oddly sensitive skin, she felt very uncomfortable that night, and, forgetting her manners, complained the next morning, blaming the mattresses. Though confused at the queen’s praise following her outburst, she was pleased to have finally gained her favor. …Until the queen decided that Karin should marry her son. Though the girl protested, the queen was adamant for reasons unknown to her, and a wedding was soon arranged. A few days before the auspicious event was to occur, however, she vanished. The prince, oddly set on marrying her, set out to search for her, but has not ever found her as of yet. The prince wandered after that, continuously searching for a way to lift his curse.
