From a young age, she has always been a bit of a problem child. She was always causing trouble for the kids her age, instigating trouble, fights, petty thefts. Her parents tried for years to try and direct her emotions to something positive. They enrolled her in painting classes, her mother tried to teach her how to sew clothes. She was good, and learned quickly, but they never interested her all that much. So, they did the one thing they hadn't tried yet. They got her a pokemon as a present for her 13th birthday. The Espurr had been bought as an egg from a breeder, who guaranteed that it was one of the best ones he had ever bred. For a time, it seemed to work. The two became inseparable, and Cerise began to get into less trouble. Until her parents, decided to get a divorce. Her mother divorced her father just a year later. It was a relatively clean break up, but it didn't sit well with Cerise. Eventually, she returned to her old tricks. To her mothers dismay, the fact that she now had a partner in crime made it ten times worse. Not knowing what to do, a few months later after her mother had had it with her, she packed her things and sent her to Kanto to live with her father who was currently living there on his travels. This...only made it worse. Her father had already re-married by this time to a nurse in the local pokemon center. No, this wasn't the evil step-mom situation, in fact her step mother was more than nice to her. She remained up to her old tricks until she turned sixteen, when she could say she 'caught' her second pokemon a Natu. It followed her home one day after she had unintentionally scared off some other pokemon that were bullying it. Afterwards, she began to become less enthusiastic about causing trouble, much to her father, mothers, and step-mothers relief. So much so, that her father thought it would be a good idea to send her off on a journey of her own. She was old enough, and she had two pokemon that could easily help her if she ever ran into trouble. So, he did. Bio: Gray spent most of his early life living with his grandparents in Vermillion City. He had a comfortable childhood, though he was on the lower rung of the social scale. He has never wanted money, or anything, he has always simply wanted to have fun with his friends and family. He acquired his first pokemon, a Magikarp, at the age of ten. It had washed up on the beach and was having a rather hard time. He rescued it, and has been raising it ever since. Sure, its not the strongest pokemon, but strength is relative. Real trainers win with their favorites, whether their strong or not. Soon after, he caught a Zubat with the help of his Magikarp.
