All right, Expolar, what you described seemed to imply that Wes was able to manipulate any[/] spaces gravity to be [i]any strength or direction. The issue with this is that that sort of thing could easily rip a person limb from limb with very small areas of gravitational pull or kill a person with minimal effort (think about things like the force from star wars). The few gravity magicians in FT have been shown to be able to manipulate it to either be very strong or reverse its direction in an area but only one area at a time and never create sideways gravitational fields. These things seem to limit the power of gravity mages and without them the magic would be insanely powerfull. do you see where my skepticism comes from now? So as long as it doesn't get too out of hand your magic and the rest of your character is accepted.
Thank you dirkinz, and thanks for suggestion I will keep that in mind. The force in Starwars is actually a great example as to how I plan to use it since Wes has to move his arms and legs in order to control it, ripping people apart wasn't really what I had in mind so don't fret about because I also plan to make it more difficult to control more than one space and size the in gravity so people could roll or recover themselves out once the gravity becomes weaker and reverts back to normal.
