Tsukiko sat in the middle of the classroom, her eyes closed and her mind open, absorbing all of the random chatter and gossip around the room. Thanks to her tonal eidetic memory, she could easily remember all the different conversations that were going on at once, and smiled when somebody started talking to themselves about the Lehrmitte Effect. She already knew what the reports were saying about it, but she never believed a story written by another journalist until she researched it herself. Most of the other conversations were pointless, things about how glad so and so was to be in somebody's class again or who was dating who, which, while something another school reporter might jump on, just wasn't the kind of thing she wrote about. She found her mind drifting back to the dream she had last night, but no matter how hard she focused on it the only thing she could remember was there was a lot of blue. She sighed again, wishing her perfect memory extended to dreams too. She opened her eyes, done listening to the inane chatter and started getting ready for home room.
