It was the morning after graduation and unlike the majority of students that he passed on the way to the training room, Aaron wasn't nursing a hangover. Oh he had his fun and drank his fill but that was it, he only drank his fill. As was the norm for most of his tenure here at Oakridge, he woke up early, went through his morning routine, and headed to the training rooms that would pit him against virtual opponents for morning combat practice. As he walked down the largely empty hallway to combat practice Aaron couldn't help but think about his time with his friends here at Oakridge. Since he was young Aaron had always wanted to join the military to settle his own personal vendettas against the creatures that had taken the most important things in his life. The doors to the training hall opened with a quiet hiss and Aaron went to work setting up the simulation that he wanted to train on, a process that he had done for years and had since up the difficulty every time that he had mastered a certain level. Aaron reached for the weapon cabnet and strapped on the twin short blades that he had come to master. As he unsheathed them he took a moment to inspect the blade, searching for imperfections and nicks that might impede him at the speeds that he would be moving. Once again, as it had been for years prior, the blades were in pristine condition with no noticeable flaws what so ever. Just as he was about to engage the simulation a call went out over the intercom system, which Aaron didn't pay much attention to until the last name was called. His name. There was only one thing that could mean. He was going to have to haul ass to make it, but he had to. Aaron barreled down the halls at high speeds, running into and knocking aside, anyone that got in his way. Even though he heard the insults and complaints of those that he went through, Aaron kept running his way in, through and around people, he just had to get to the admin building. As everyone was starting to file their way into the conference hall Aaron just walked into the office and quickly and quietly moved in line with the rest of group. ================================================================================ The 'ceremony' was short and sweet, just like Aaron had hoped. The immediate assignment had been a bonus to Aaron, it wasn't against the aliens but it would be a good start. Gripping the badge in his hand Aaron began to shake, not from fear of the upcoming trials and tribulations, but for excitement that he could finally put his school knowledge into real world practice. His inner musings were cut short by the all to familiar shouting of Freddy going on one of his famous rampages. Even though he was screaming at Puck for whatever humorous thing he did Aaron noticed that he would keep making quick glances at Thael. Aaron let out an audible chuckle, everyone knew that Freddy had an infatuation with Thael but only Aaron found his awkwardness of it funny. Suddenly his mind slipped to his own crush, his new commander Olivia. Aaron stole a quick glance at Oliva, he could see that she was obviously shaken by the announcement that she was to be the groups leader. He could only imagine what she could be feeling. A comment from Kat brought Aaron back to Freddy's predicament, her sly comment to Freddy sparked something in Aaron that he simply couldn't ignore, "Aww, whats the matter Fred? Is someone that he got glitterbombed this morning and missed breakfast?"
