Kaylah: “I hope we find some company soon girl. I love you to bits but you don’t talk though I know your barks very well.” The young woman walked slowly, she had a backpack on to keep what she needed, only two bottles of water could be seen, everything else was hidden within the black bag itself. Her furry friend walked in front of her, since it was the type that watched and guarded it was normal and besides she always did that. Though this Rottweiler was only 3 it was bigger than the average one and so it was very intimidating but it was a gentle if you had good intentions. Her semi-wet noise sniffed the air for any possible threats; Kaylah relied on her furry friend to keep her out of trouble, her constant fear of injury and being left alone was always present at the edge of her mind. Just like that her pet went mad as it saw two undead corpses make their way to her, one was slow the other slightly faster. Kaylah: “OK, OK Bruiser. Calm down, stay behind so you don’t get infected…….. OK Kaylah you can do this, you have a ranged weapon so you won’t get hurt. My weapon is only dull and fatigued after the last few encounters, oh god. (Heavy and rapid breathing). Your only friend is safely behind you so just kill them already.” She was talking to herself but her nerves were playing on her, this happened with each encounter. Her heart rate went up and her mind went blank as the other hostile zombies came at her. Her pet bared its teeth behind Kaylah hoping to scare them but they were brain dead so it did nothing. One zombie was a hoodie and the other wore a green t-shirt which had a logo on. Both were wearing jeans but one was the standard blue and the other was a black pair. Both also had bloody faces and bloody clothing from where they were either bitten or where blood had been added during one of their bite fests. She was about to attack when she heard some gun shots that were not too far away from them. It had got the attention of the two corpses Kaylah: “OK Kaylah, you can do this. They are turning away now (Breathing still heavy). One could strike to the head or to the neck. Beheading them should be easy enough.” She soon took a few breaths before taking a swing with her blade mounted hockey stick. A horizontal attack was done; an attack that was aimed carefully and had as much force as she could give it due to the dull blade. She took the one with the green t-shirt on and as she connected the blade to the corpses neck it started to bleed all over the place, luckily missing her face but it hit her clothing which was barely there. The chances of getting any in her mouth were zero but getting it in her eyes were a possibility. Her pet Bruiser avoided it too. It felt very weird and it was very new to her as she felt the bone take most of the force but there was enough to go through it and remove the head of the undead. It had freaked her out and it had taken a lot out of her to do it but she did it. The other started making its way towards the sound of the gun shots. This gave Kaylah and her pet a chance to move away from it which they did quickly. They went the other way where it was clear, the zombie not noticing them and even if it did it was slow. After a little stroll down the road which took about ten minutes because she was looking round they reached a store but was it empty? “OK Bruiser, Go sniff it out for me but stay out of danger girl.” Her dog barked before making its way to the store while Kaylah stood watch to see if anything else was coming.
