X-Com War for Earth

The year is 2017, two years ago an unknown extraterrestrial enemy destroyed an entire platoon of United States Marine Corps personnel. There was one survivor, a Marine Lieutenant by the name of Jordan Rose. His reports on the events of that night has been announced in a secret meeting of the United Nations to every major government in the world. The UN has approved the activation of the Extraterrestrial Combat Unit, X-Com. 

Commander Richard L. Harris of the United States Army has been chosen to command this program. Construction on X-Com's base of operations deep in the underground of Central Africa has been completed and X-Com is being funded by the leading Council of Nations of the project. The best soldiers from around the world have been brought to X-Com HQ for training in the advanced weapons provided to the program. All Soldiers, Scientists, Engineers, Command crew, and security personnel have been reported dead to the world. Secrecy of the project is top priority. 

The past two years have been quiet, no alien activity has been reported by any nation of the world. Until last month, a small German town was attacked. The entire population is missing, they are all presumed dead. We do not know why these aliens have attacked us, we only know that we must defend ourselves. X-Com stands ready to reply to the next Alien attack on any part of the world. Global satellites patrol the skies on the look out for any alien activity.

You have been chosen as a member of this historic project. What ever your role in X-Com know that you will be helping t defend humanity from this other worldly threat.

As you can all probably tell (hopefully) this is an X-Com based RP. I set it a few years after the events of the new game so that we aren't pretending this all happens next year. Each player will be allowed three characters, two soldiers and one non combat character such as scientists or engineers. I will be playing as the Commander himself as well as two soldiers. (One will be that Marine survivor mentioned above.) 

Characters have a chance of dying. Every once and awhile I will have a vote as to what character should be the next to eat it. I will ask the players in a PM and get each of their responses, then I will send the "lucky" player the news and it is up to them to figure out how their character dies. No character is safe not even mine, this is X-Com by the way. Well one exception will be the Commander since he won't be in many fights. If your character is voted out THEY MUST DIE in the next mission. If you refuse to kill your character I will do it for you, and if you refuse to let that happen all of your characters will be killed and your spot will open up. If a character dies feel free to create another one that comes in as a fresh rookie and we will accept them with open arms. (Until maybe they die.) 

This is a mature RP so feel free to throw everything from cussing to romance into the RP. Within reason, I am not going to read porn on my thread.

Nickname: (optional, keep them military appropriate)

Nationality: (Where your character is from, X-Com is multi-cultural by the way.)

Ethnicity: (white, black, asian, etc.)

Age: (Keep it realistic for military field operators, nothing over say 45) 

Appearance: (Good description or a picture, no anime please.)

Specialty: (Sniper, infantry, medic, machine gunner, scientist, etc. Things like gene mods and psionics will be added as we progress.)

Biography: (Good, descriptive backstory of your character's past. X-Com can have some pretty unique people. Was he/she in a military or a criminal? You know how it goes, make these things good.)
