I mainly went for a quarian 'cause there was only one other at the time. xD But yes, our sole goal is to torture you and make you suffer when choosing between us. We're just cruel like that <3
In all seriousness, though, I can always go back and work on my backup/secondary/NPC/something volus character instead, if that makes life easier. Volus are even more unloved than the Salarians.
