The ongoing conflict with the Southern rebels is a matter the United States will handle. We are not interested in entering into foreign alliances and pacts with other countries, no matter how well-meaning they may be. As for the United Kingdom's rash decision to join this conflict. Please remember that a breaking of economic ties with the United States means no more of the precious American grain you use to feed your people and support your island.
