┊ ┊ ┊
She could feel it. It thrummed through her bones, striking the marrow with pin-pointed flares of burning sensitivity, it slid through her blood and lit her soul aflame as the adrenaline built; it pooled in her mouth, made her taste copper and her spirits howled. It was almost too much, the sudden shuffling echoing within her subconscious, the burning across her arms that made her muscles tighten and coil; creating fists that sliced into her palms. She had been anticipating a fight and now one was presented affront with rapid the encroach of an extraterrestrial pack of whipping tails and bulbous eyes that she could calculate from even this distance. Her arm immediately swung back upon predetermined instinct and approach, dexterous fingers sliding across the familiar texture of brass and steel, the weight settled across her grip pleasantly and sent a jolt of static that sparked and sputtered as a manic grin split her features into a peculiar glamour of eagerness and shadow. Magdalena crouched down, fixing herself into a slight prone position as Olivia utilized their provided tagger, each holographic image and numerical epitaph registered within her mind and was displayed across her vision that hardened into sapphire with a spark of vermilion surrounding her dilating pupils. The database confirmed her worst fears: immune to darkness. Her teeth sliced into her lower lip as her shadows wailed in dismay, each apparition whirling around her shoulders and her empathetic shadow blooming wide in what she could predict as an escape, a hole to surrender herself within the abyss; it always seemed to appear in her moments of combat — it was a way out. Magdalena spared her surroundings a minuscule glance, circumstances provided a wide berth of land to move around, it was spacious but vulnerable: no effective ways to hide or assemble an ambush. She could discern that the small allotted window wouldn't have allowed such trickery, but in theory it worked a plenty. However it wasn't her call to make and she tempered her will to lash out with each and every hypothesis she could accumulate within those precious seconds. Her eyes flickered to her captain, her friend and their sudden leader in this excursion. She felt tense and wound up, coiled together like a spring vibrating in the sheer physical amount it was bunched into that only released a small fraction when the brunette finally shouted her orders. It was difficult to force herself into shuttering her will to fight and burn, to feel something other than her crushing turmoil, but Magdalena surrendered herself to drifting aloft and scanning the impromptu battle field with a careful sweep of her vermilion and cerulean oculus. Each degree and turn of her head illustrated a critical point in every assemblage of alien beast and man, she grit her teeth as Aaron whisked himself into battle on the gales of his wind and she seized her chakram with both hands clenched bone-white onto the massive circlet. She didn't have a doubt that her comrades would be able to effectively thwart these ill enemies as she herself would be hardly any assistance due to their immunity. The unrestrained community of her spirits only bayed wildly in their restriction and the ones of hellacious, ruby cores continued to shimmer in her peripheral — as if speaking, reminding, a silent plea of recognition to be utilized against her opponents and fears. Like lights in the darkness they pulsated. Magdalena felt the heat pool in her mouth, coating her tongue, scorching her throat and making her teeth grind against the sensation that boiled her blood almost. It was difficult to witness her friends throw themselves into the fray whilst she lingered back, forging the last line of defense. It was a decent trio, each capable of far distances with their weapons, her blue eyes slid carefully over Emily and Jyn both, but the commotion ahead made her head snap back and for a moment she was tantalized and yet fearful of the bright flashes of light scouring across her stare. She flinched back from the white and gold bathing the battle scene released from Olivia and Thael respectively, her shadows seemed to vibrate from their intensity and it took an impressive amount to not simply turn away from the entire assault. But she had a job to do, she would do her up most best and capability to abide by Olivia's orders. Even when the heat continued to fester against her lips, enough to the point that magma trickled from the corners of her sealed teeth and slid in a oozing path that shimmered and boiled against her chin, and dripped onto the ground below where it charred and burned the grass smashed beneath her boots. Her manic grin faltered just for a moment when Thael and Freddy both launched themselves against their opponents continuously and Jyn sprinted off from their line to assist Remi against the two charging raptors, each whipping their tails in their frantic attempts to prevail against them. Magdalena couldn't contain the strain in her arms from holding her weapon so firmly and ran forward with her chakram spinning around the juncture of her arm, the blades silently sliced through the air, creating a silent hum near her ears as she propelled forward and dove, foot implanted into the earth beneath, coiling into a spinning dive that launched the massive weapon with a loud shout released from her lips; magma burning across her chin. "Agh!" The excursion forced Magdalena into a grounded somersault that planted her aside Kat and Pucky, her knee ground against the soil as she witnessed her chakram spin through the air into an arc, aimed directly for the group of Raptors configuring and massing upon Freddy, previously drawn by his impressive shout of rage and anger. The blades gleamed and reflected what little sunlight was available through the clouds churning above but it was enough as the deadly circlet spun and sliced through two raptors fixated close to one another as they chattered and clicked in their drawn aggression. Magdalena glanced at their holographic tags, Zeta and Kappa. Her chakram had torn through the mass oddity upon their spines and dug deep, the clumps of pinkish flesh crowned in peculiar tines that leaked an ebony sludge that Magdalena could only assume as blood. It wasn't enough to draw their attention completely, but their black splotched bodies wavered from the deep lacerations her chakram had gouged out. It was something she thought, her massive weapon spun in another arc, as if to return before it embedded into the dirt and remained there lodged within the grass. She wasted no time in drawing her second chakram, the smaller disc immediately being dissembled as she took it upon herself to act as another shield for Kat. Her eyes glanced over at the two before she gave a small nod, despite the strange feeling she received in standing so close to her watery spirits, she managed to temper down her fire and shadows trying to whirl around her skin and positioned the blades before her. It wasn't exactly what Olivia had commanded but she knew that they couldn't leave Roy alone to defend Kat upon the release of her frigid powers.
----
Magdalena struggles against her desire to fight, unable to keep back she runs forward and releases her biggest chakram. It slices and gouges deeply into Raptor Zeta and Kappa and is then lodged into the ground from the force of it. It doesn't necessarily act as a boomerang. She then takes position next to Kat and Roy, standing in where Aaron should have been.
