She believes in giving 100 percent in everything and has a tendency to overreact when things go wrong. She can be bossy, competitive, and critical, which can come across as annoying, but at the end of the day, she genuinely does care for her band mates. A good way to explain her personality is, "What Valerie wants, Valerie gets." Favorite Bands: Flogging Molly, Yellowcard, Dave Matthews Band, Skillet, FUSE. Hobbies/Skills: Outside of violin, Valerie can play guitar slightly (not enough to justify playing it in front of the band) and can sing back-up if needed. In high school, she was a cheerleader and a camp counselor in training (she is fully a camp counselor now). She also has dreams of getting a book published. Job: She's a barista at a coffee shop. Bio: Ever since Valerie was young, her single mom pushed her to be the best, enrolling her in dance, cheerleading and violin lessons since kindergarten. This didn't start affecting her personality until high school when she got involved with the popular crowd. When she graduated Highschool and went into college, she began to hear of a group of twenty-somethings putting a band together. She found them to be off-putting at first and tried to ignore them as her mother had bigger and better plans for her. After finally realizing that her mother's plans weren't her plans, she asked the band if they could start over and if she could join them. While she does complain about them a lot, she is quick to show that she indeed does care a lot for them, even f she'll complain about "sharing the spotlight" with Russell.
