Edwin silently watched the first men, and a girl, as they introduced themselves. His face was the one of professional gambler, but under this mask, his mind worked at full speed. They had one piece of everything: soldier, scholar, brawler, street urchin and overly cocky sociopath. Edwin knew nothing about Hawk´s future plans nor about task he is going to give them, but with the team like this, it surely will be something on the very edge of feasibility. He couldn´t help himself not to look forward to the challenge. The first man to describe his role in upcoming events was the self-proclaimed cleaner. He was quite a disturbing individual. He spoke more like an actor from a cheap theatre than a man skilled in shady arts, as he described himself, but Edwin was sure that behind his coxcombry was more than just a grain of truth. There was something in this man, something unsettling. Also, he couldn´t overhear the silent threat, a warning to be precise, in the last sentence he said. He will have to keep an eye on him and if he tries something, Edwin will gladly introduce him to the both of his steels. The second man to describe his profession was the scholar. Arrogance in his manners was almost tangible. He reminded him one soldier in his old unit. He was awfully educated man, behaving like someone who swallowed all the knowledge of the world. He was forced to serve because of a foul he did in the past and servitude in army was the only way he could atone for his sins. Edwin had never met a more annoying man or worse soldier in his whole life, he was even forced to whip him once hoping it will make him grow a backbone. It failed. The man died in upcoming fight, not to the sword of enemy but to hoofs of his own horse. Fool. Edwin hoped that this man, Ilario, will be different. He said he is skilled in picking locks, healing wounds and sapping fortresses, Edwin wasn´t really sure if he believed his words, but if he truly is as capable as he says, he could be invaluable asset to the team. Hawk had always an eye for new talents and Edwin was sure that he wouldn´t pick a man without any use. Edwin decided that he will be next one doing introduction. He stood up like a soldier on military parade, straight as a pike. He spoke to people in the tavern in same manner he used to spoke to his men. “My name is Edwin Blackwaters, former captain of His majesty cuirassiers. I use to lead an armoured fist of our king, may he rule forever, and now I do the same thing for our common employer. I know how to lead an assault of cavalry, how to siege a city… or how to gut a Skaarlund swine in dozen ways. If you have any questions in these things, you are free to ask me.”
