Dext, could you use permalink for the posts with the CSs and create a link on the first OCC post so that the characters don't get lost in the ooc? Also, I'm a bit confused about the posting limit...thing. So. A character is involved in posting 5 times...(whether collab or not) and that's it for them until the next section? And, in more relation to the plot, is there a time line to which Ialdia was rediscovered to when the first people went over to where our characters are now? (Has it been ten years or fifty years, kinda thing.)And for all of those who characters are from Aega, can we talk about what that place actually has got going on? Cause I think we all might be picturing different things and I rather sort it all out now rather than stumbling around it in the actual postings.
1. Yes I'll put in a permalink right now. 2. The plotline moves in sections. This way everybody gets equal time to post, and it moves things along a at steady pace, always moving everybody forward so that there is a progressive story. So individually, in the "Colonization".. let's call them "acts" each of you would get 5 posts. Collabs work a bit differently than an individual post. Since this is a new thing for me, I'm open to suggestions on how exactly it should work, but this is the way I see it now. If a collab contains 2+ perspectives, IE two (or more) characters act and have a large part in that collab, it is counted toward both characters' post limit for that act. On the other hand, If One character dominates the post, but has a conversation with another character during their post, then that post would only count toward the dominant character's limit. So in all, the character's involvement in a collab post determines if it counts toward their limit. I'll read collab posts as I would read any other posts, then I'll look over then and determine level of involvement for any characters in that post and decide what characters satisfy a full post. Of course, I'm not iron set on the exact specifications, and if a group of people has any plans that 1 less post would hinder, I'm willing to make exceptions. So think of it rather as a guideline than a set rule, that is why I didn't simply put it in the rules category in the OP (in case not everyone knows, the OP means Original Post, IE the first OOC post I made). IT helps move things forward in a progressive way, but still allows for creative freedom. 3. Aega, I'm not sure what exactly you want to know. I've gone through their selective monarchy process. If you could provide me with some categories you would like me to expand on, I can give you some explanation, but all of Aega and everything about it is a bit too big to explain. I hang around here quite often, so just ask me any questions you'd like and I can answer them fairly quickly. EDIT: Sorry, I missed one of your questions. The time Ialdia was rediscovered was about 40 years ago by our standards. Over the time between then and now many volunteer explorers died testing bonding spells to try and overcome the curse of Ialdia. Now that it has been perfected, a colony is being started up with bonded individuals. EDIT 2: Permalink added to the bottom of the OP.
