Name: Helfie Titles: Misfit God, Caretaker of the Lost, Light in the Dark, Goddess of the Depths, Humble One. Seat of Power: A simple, seemingly run-down shrine located close to the most populated area in Neath. While small, made of wood and not particularly ornate, the Lone Shrine is a homely place, one that serves as a guidepost for all those wishing to traverse the Underworld. No matter where one is when they enter the Underworld, they will naturally be guided to this place... Divine Aspects: The Underworld, Harmony Appearance: Depending on which of her Aspects currently hold the greatest influence over her, Helfie takes on one of two forms. She likely has other forms she may take, she simply has no need to take them. Base Form In her simplest, most pure form, Helfie takes the appearance of a very young, fair-skinned girl wearing little but ragged rags. Her long hair flows from her head in messy waves, and seems to constantly be in motion due to some imaginary, unseen breeze. Her eyes shine a brilliant, pure white hue that can be seen even across great distances, contrasting strongly with her otherwise mundane appearance. Her body, while often dirty from guiding people through the tunnels of Neath, is surprisingly without blemish or impurity. Primal Form The relatively monstrous form of Helfie when her Underworld Aspect is at the height of its strength. She appears like a young girl with breathtaking, pure-white hair and maddeningly black eyes. From the waist down, she has the body of a many-tentacled fiend of sorts, with 15 large, strong arms each possessing countless suckers on their undersides. Above the waist, she possesses a body quite similar to her base form, without the rags or dirt. While her tentacles seem a terrifying sight, they are mostly used to save people from cave-ins and to convince monsters to join Neath, as opposed to grasping and killing enemies. Artifacts: Seed of the Underworld A seed that, once planted, will rapidly grow into one of the many Horrors of the Underworld. Whether it is a colossal flesh-eating worm, or a rapidly spreading fungus with poison spores, it will always be immensely dangerous to Helfie's enemies, while not nearly as much to Helfie or her followers. After the Horror is no longer needed, the Seed is able to be converted back into its original form, allowing for unlimited usages. Any aftereffects of what is summoned, such as lingering spores or pools of acid, will remain even after the original threat has been converted back into a Seed. Concordia's Providence A chalice that is able to fill itself with either pure water, the essence of happiness or healing water. May only produce more of its drinks once it has been drained entirely, and the liquids created can not be used for anything besides drinking. The ordinary water created is very refreshing, while the essence of happiness will bring the drinker temporary elation, regardless of prior feelings. The healing water created by the Chalice can regenerate wounds up to a moderate degree in any individual who drinks from it, but does no extend to restoring lost limbs or damage to certain vital organs, such as the brain or heart. The healing water also cures many ailments and negates poison, but does not actually quench the drinker's thirst. Abilities: Abyssal Radiance Power of unknown origin that has been sealed hastily into Helfie's eyes, giving them their distinctive glow. Using this glow, she is able to inspire fear and subservience in any monster save those in the deepest parts of the Underworld. Naturally, this means that she may also inspire overwhelming amounts of fear in virtually any other living creature, but she dislikes using her power on any but the most bloodthirsty, mindless fiends. Her eyes can do more than just scare people, they are also able to light up any gloom no matter how dark, to the point of creating artificial daylight if she focuses her power strongly enough. Looking directly into her eyes for extended periods of time can cause temporary blindness. Finally, when in her Primal Form, her eyes seem to glow with an impossible black light, darkening things to the same degree as her Base Eyes brighten them. Notably improves the fear effect in her Primal Form as well. Harmonize The healing power of Helfie that restores injuries of heart, mind and spirit. Using it, she is able to easily bring individuals with such injuries into her embrace and convert them into her followers. Any people converted in this fashion will become absolutely devoted to her, making what would ordinarily be a problematic enemy into a powerful, unwavering ally. Theoretically, she could intentionally take measures to inflict emotional harm on people, which would in turn convert them into her undying followers. She probably wouldn't do this, though. Personal History: At first, Helfie didn't have much of a purpose. She wandered listlessly through the Underworld, searching for something to make her own. She isn't sure how long it took, but some time later she discovered the first of the Cursed. They followed her brilliant eyes through the gloom, letting her guide them to the place where Neath would eventually be founded. They hailed her and celebrated her beauty, for she was the only thing in that endless darkness that gave off light. To them, she was the only thing in the world that was beautiful. Gradually, more and more of their kind were guided to her side, until eventually there was a large group forming around her. They built her a shrine, they paid her tribute, they even held celebrations in order to please her. So, in return, Helfie left them. She scoured the deepest Depths of the Underworld, searching for the thing she knew existed there. When she finally returned, grasped in her hands were spores from the Deep. She planted these spores near her shrine, and they quickly grew into towering, light-producing mushrooms. The cursed were glad, and by cultivating these mushrooms, they began creating a civilization. Still, they never forgot about the girl who had shown them light, and still paid tribute to her as usual. They didn't have much, but a share of everything they had would always go to the Goddess. She was happy, because she had found purpose... At some point far in the past, Helfie travelled to a place that exists far beneath the Underworld. She makes no mention of what she saw there, just that it was terrible beyond any comparison. Personality: Helfie is...pure. Having made her home in the gutter of the world, she has seen more than her fair share of mortal despair, just as much as she has experienced mortal spirit. Among Gods, she is probably the one who understands mortals best, and notably doesn't express any real desire to rule over them. Still, she cares dearly for those within her influence, particularly within the Neath, and will do what she must to protect them. She keeps to herself and dislikes conflict, making her commonly misunderstood by the other Gods, who may think her weak. She has no wish to conquer or make enemies, but she will follow her "Family" to any ends, even if it means she must go to war. Vulnerable to mental and spiritual corruption, although extreme measures would need to be taken.

I bet you read Helfie's CS and wondered to yourself, "Hey, what the fuck is an Underworld and where can I get one?" Well, you came to the right place, here is where I'm going to tell you all about the wonders and terrors of: THE UNDERWORLD. Now, the Underworld is actually an entirely physical region that exists below the surface of our lovely little land. But it's not just one or two silly caverns, there is actually more space in the underworld than there is on the entirety of the surface world combined! Now, what are you going to find in the Underworld? Lots of caves, the entire place is a massive subterranean network of caverns, natural tunnels, underground rivers and even a few entirely underground oceans! Now, doesn't that sound great? But if it's so great, why doesn't everybody go there? Well, the Underworld is no pushover, it's full of all sorts of nasties that are way stronger than anything you would find on the surface. Only Helfie, Goddess of the Underworld, is able to traverse this place safely. What's worse is that the further down you go in the Underworld, the more dangerous things get! Now, just as the Underworld exists below the Surface World, there is also a place beneath the Underworld called the Abyss. Nobody but Helfie has ever been there before, though, and it is most definitely not a safe place to be for anybody.

Name: Neath Location: Spanning an extensive network of caverns across multiple layers of the underworld, Neath is not lacking in size or variety despite not having any footing in the Surface World. Government: Many Gods personally oversee their nations, but some nations have elected officials, and other ruling mortal parties. Dominant race:
A race of people that may have once been human, doomed to wander the depths of the Underworld with no hope for salvation. They often have hideous, sometimes debilitating mutations or special powers that they evolved due to their horrific enviroment. No two Cursed are exactly alike, although there are some that display similarities based on area.
Other races:
HALF SPIDER. HALF MAN.

Like Driders, but more humanoid and less monstrous.

Like fungus, but a guy.

Sometimes called "Dark Elves" or "Deep Folk".

Spooky.
Wild Flora/fauna: What wild animals inhabit your nation's territory? Be sure to explain their appearance, and abilities. Specialization: Being Spooky National History: Alliances: Enemies: Notable People: These can be god-chosen champions or politicians.
