I'm pretty sure we're sticking to the discussion of the stuff we own and talking about the technical aspects. Or at least, I'm only discussing the technical aspects. I have since added an L3 technologies flashlight/laser combo via a rail mount I attached. This is a home defense gun. - Australian SMLE No.1 Mk.III*, 1942, Lithgow - British Lee-Enfield No.4 Mk.II, 1953, Fazakerley - Springfield 1903A3, 1942, Remington Refurbed job with a Krieger barrel. - Swiss K31, 1934, Waffenfaberik Bern - Mosin Nagant M1891/30, Izhevsk. - AR-15, Colt LE6920 with a Eotech XPS-2 and G33 magnifier (3.3x), a grip-pod, various other shit done to it, and I recently attached a mount for a Surefire M952 on there. (My chef sold me some of this shit cheap; he was getting rid of his after a nasty divorce) I also attached an Israeli sling on there, which I decided that I liked the best of all the options. - 1911A1, Springfield Armory; the only handgun I'll ever need.
I'll admit that I like old guns way better than new guns.
Also, Obama recently issued an executive order banning Kalashnikovs manufactured at Izhmash from importation into the US.
Which just bumped up the value of your rifle if you ever are so inclined to sell. I'm in a similar situation in my state, where AR-15's are now banned and the value of mine, already grandfathered in, is now higher. Not that I'll ever sell. I don't invest in firearms, I buy them to have and keep. This particularly applies to the old warhorses I tend to buy (as I have largely packed them in arsenal grease and stored them away for the duration) but it also applies to other models.
