Ignorance is a bliss, and yet it is one so difficult to obtain. Hazama wished he had ignorance, that way he could simply ignore the fact that other students were giving him strange looks. He could ignore their whispers about him and his family. He could ignore their staggering steps, taken with their attempts to hide their action of avoiding him. But he can't ignore it, and it's just fine anyway. Even without the rumors, other students would notice a kid who skipped a grade. What rumors, you ask? The rumors about the Kazuma Curse. It's said that the family was cursed to live short lives. Die early, before they even get a chance to experience being middle-aged. And it was true. Hazama Kazuma, and everyone in his family before him, after him, and currently are cursed to die young. All throughout his life, Hazama had experienced the loss of a loved one several times every year. As a tradition, those who were still alive had to pass on their knowledge to the next generation quickly, which allowed Hazama to get to this grade, even though he's younger than everyone else in the grade. The first day started with an assembly. The headmistress spoke of guidelines and information. Hazama had no interest in clubs. He felt that none of the ones available would let him join anyway. He didn't care about the shrinking of class sizes. It made no difference in education. Hazama found his name on the list for class 1-G. He recognized some interesting names on the same list. It was surprising, but nothing more. He found the classroom. Two people screamed, one was kicked by a delinquent. As he passed through the door, he glanced at the poor blonde dude before taking a free seat.
