[/quote] I've shot a 97 here in Calgary, and I gotta tell you, the Type 97 is one of those hit-or-miss guns. It's constructed from solid materials, and it is reliable (200+ rounds with no stoppage so far). Its bullpup design also made it shorter, easier to carry at the cost of muzzle closer to your face (bigger muzzle flash). I personally don't like this rifle that much, its iron sights will make your eyes bleed, ergonomics are poor (tiny mag release on the right side, really?) and mounting optics requires specific chicom rails. Also, my uncle used to work in Norinco, they make everything from MBTs to cartridges.
