Explanation on the name: His real name is just Ryan, but of course such a simple name would have been taken in an MMO of any sort, so he lengthened it to Ryanitosan (it helps that his last name is Tozen), he just tells people to call him Ryan, though.

History: From a young age he loved the idea of being able to walk through a battle, taking hit after hit but not going down. As he grew, he began playing any RPG game he could find, always being whatever class, or set of skills that allowed him to dub himself a "tank" as MMO gamers called it. However in real life he lacked courage, never being able to stand up to danger, no matter how tough he made himself, he could never stand tall in the face of a fight. When NerveGear came out, and the thought of being able to stand tall to danger in what was almost a real environment arrived, he jumped at the chance. And then SAO? It was perfect, he told himself he would never leave the game if he had the choice... Though he might change his opinion soon.
