Quite a lot was happening to The Overlord right about now, a few things that he was unaware of. Now, he was certain the pyromancer had neglected to notice something. Though he does not have eyes, he can still see. And never once did his line of sight break away from him, as he unleashed a surge of immolation against him. The blade in his hand halted in its previous swing and he flipped it with his thumb to give it a better position for a back swing. Grey Nasty gave to long lunging steps forwards, much to his fortune as the invisible being behind him had been aiming to incapacitate him with a single stab. These two steps put him just outside of the reach of his blade. Now, why was he moving forward? It's easier to swing a colossally heavy blade when you're moving with it. Overlord's blade was swung forward with every single pound of its weight throwing itself around. This was not intended to slash at his flame spewing foe, no. At the beginning of his swing he ignited the tip of his sword with a bright flame. When his blade pointed almost directly forward he twisted his wrist to flatten the blade against the wind. This sent a massive wall of flame surging towards the pyromancer, a firewall of sorts. This was his primary defense against his greatest weakness, his own weakness. Overlord is a smart man, and he knows of the saying: "Fight Fire with Fire." Now, onto the target that he had previously fired at. The circumstance of his soul destroyer being knocked away by a single arrow is outlandish at best. As one: It is 12 feet long. And two: It shatters before anything makes contact with it. Now, what really happened to the blast of soul mass that he had fired at his foe? Before his arrow struck Grey Nasty's soul destroyer, the 12 foot long spear of soul mass erupted into three dozen fractal shards that shotgunned outwards. Flying in the same general direction as his innitial assault.
