I know, he is a bit weaker, but it's fairly easy to scale him up - though even without that, im pretty sure i can put up i good challenge. Im just that damn confident in my swordplay knowledge. :D

As for the tier system, you can find it in the Nexus Of Worlds Multiverse topic. The three tier system described there is just a slightly reworked version of the ten tier one. The roleplay itself is unfortunately dead, perhaps due to the low activity of this particular roleplaying section, but it still has a lot of useful information for any arena fighter.
