"What was that?" Derek glanced up at Jade as a scream pierced the air. "I don't know..." Jade helped Derek up. "You should be good now. You'll probably have an annoying headache, but it's better for you to stay awake. It's best whenever you have a concussion." They both dusted the sand off and began walking over to where the scream came from. "Look! We're not the only ones!" Jade half gasped as she ran over, Derek continuing to walk. "Is everyone okay here...... Are there any broken bones or puncture wounds?" Her voice trailed off as she saw another girl throwing who looked pale and pretty banged up compared to herself. "Don't let her go to sleep. At least not within the next two hours." Jade observed the girl before looking at the guy. "Both of you don't look too bad. Pretty banged up, but nothing too serious, hopefully." Derek walked up behind Jade and awkwardly waved at everyone. "Um. Hey. I'm glad to see there's more survivors." He looked around and got a glimpse of others not too far from where the small group was. Jade turned to where Derek was looking and sighed of relief. It didn't change the fact that others had died, but at least they wouldn't be alone. At least one of the few people here would know what they were doing. "I can't believe this just happened." A surge of panic and fear hit Jade but she kept her composure, not wanting to freak anyone out.
