Name: Catherine Silver-Tree Concept: Evil brat and wicked witch Role: Villain Age: 14 Sex and Orientation: Female-- she hasn't decided who or what she likes just yet. Appearance: Skin white as snow, lips red as blood, and hair black as night. She rarely if ever has a hair out of place, her head adorned with long, straight tresses, her forehead safely ensconced by immaculately even bangs. She usually wears a simple flowing purple gown with black sleeves, and stands with an uncharacteristic slouch. Also, she's short. Personality: Petty, lazy, abusive, and spiteful right off the bat, she is fond of grandiose gestures and broad, sweeping motions. Not so much of subtlety. She's impatient and bossy as well, used to being waited on hand and foot by servants. What little respect she does have seems to be reserved for the creature that resides in her mirror, though maybe it can be won or shared? She has something nearing reverence for it. Background: Her real mom died in childbirth. The king quickly remarried, then died himself to suspicious but as of yet unexplained circumstances. She was raised carefully by her new stepmom, who happened to be an evil witch of some renown in disguise. The stepmom encouraged her in being evil and rebuffed her when she was kind, and soon she knew. She knew the peasants were scheming and always up to no good, and that people were wicked and couldn't be trusted. That she was nobility, and therefore better than the rabble! She was tutored in sorcery and witchcraft, and when mother was busy, she spoke to the giant mirror in the secret room for advice. It never told a lie, stepmom told her, so she could trust it. Then, one night, stepmom kissed her on the forehead as she was going to sleep. In the morning, stepmom and mirror were gone. A few months later, a package arrived for her in the mail containing her piece. Her piece of the worldheart, as well as a new magic mirror, small and portable. The bubbling clay face on the other side of the glass told her it was the same creature from the original, a fragment, even though it seemed different somehow. It told her stepmother was dead, and that she had work to do, so she cried herself sore, left her affairs in the hands of her Totally Trustworthy Royal Vizier, and took off to meet her new associates. Skills: Magic! Curses, hexes, poisons, a shapeshifting spell here and there. She has a knack for potions, and next-to-no knowledge of anything blasty. Equipment: Some nice clothes. An alchemical stockpile with weird stuff in it like dragon tears and screams. Beakers, vials, a couple apples. Parent: The evil queen, Anais Grimhilde. A vain, vicious creature who taught her stepdaughter well, then vanished, supposedly dead. She was a powerful witch, but her power came from cunning rather than overt shows of force, which she has tried to impress on the young lady with varying degrees of success. She's taken it to heart with her magic, but personalitywise, the queen did too good a job teaching her to hate the people she was supposed to hate. Inheritance: A magic mirror. It talks and occasionally gives her advice, acting as a sort of force-multiplier by supplementing her with knowledge both mundane and magical. Notes: Also willing to make a second herocharacter, -if necessary.- The mirror may or may not be entirely honest or even something else entirely, depending on how the plot goes. I'd like to leave that open-ended, if you don't mind.
