I told you that I would be making a civilian/mentor role and here I am xD Name: Leonard Hansen Age: 25 (He is their homeroom/history teacher) Appearence: Leonard is tall, even for an adult, with short black hair and a pair of glasses that are purely cosmetic. During school days he will often come dressed in a professional suit and tie, but otherwise outside of class he may be found wearing just a casual outfit of shirts and jeans. Weapons: Inherent magic: Just like Zordon and Rita, Leonard has inherent magic - he is a rare earthborn sorcerer. However, his downside comes from the fact that due to the fact he was born in modern day earth, he has no knowledge of magic and can only vaguely sense that a form of "energy" exists within him. Unlike Zordon and Rita who can perform extreme feats with their magic (like making monsters grow) Leonard is only capable of utilizing magic as energy to power his body strikes. He is unable to access, alter or call upon the morphing grid. Martial arts: Leonard utilizes a form of martial arts techniques known as Baji quan ("rake fist"). The school Leonard learned makes the use of fist and elbow strikes to force an opponent's guard to open before moving in to deal a solid blow. Being Leonard's main utilization of magical power, Leonard empowers his strikes with magic: while they are nowhere near the strength and power granted by the ranger powers, he is still capable of eliminating the average foot soldier with ease. Bajiquan - A Second Strike is Unnecessary: the ultimate realization of Leonard's martial arts utilization, this method of fighting is derived from Baji Quan Master Li Shuwen's fighting style in which he would always, without fail, defeat the opponent with a single landed strike. Li Shuwen is said to have uttered the famous quote "I do not know what it's like to hit a man twice" and Leonard follows the same principle, focusing on defeating each opponent with a single magical enhanced strike. A single strike from Leonard will be sufficient to shatter bones in a normal human and/or defeat a villain's foot soldier. It is important to note that actual monsters, however, will absolutely destroy him with various degrees of pain depending on their similarity to human biology: monsters with bodies, biology - and therefore weaknesses - similar to humans will be able to defeat Leonard with half an effort, but Leonard should still be able to stall long enough to protect innocent bystanders until the rangers to get over there, morph and fight. Those caught off guard under the belief they are dealing with a "mere human" may even be damaged by Leonard's strike if he manages to get the element of surprise on them. Monsters that bear no resemblance to humans at all or are made of different material entirely (say, a monster made of rock or plants) however will nullify Leonard's entire combat capability and will whack Leonard aside with ease. When fighting a ranger, a ranger has several inherent advantages against him: namely, their blasters. If they take out their blasters, then Leonard is as good as helpless for he is essentially a man who came to a gunfight empty handed. If a ranger underestimates him to be a normal human and goes at him with close range, however, Leonard has the distinct advantage of both experience and surprise. Should he land a hit on a power ranger, with his magically enhanced strike any strike would be able to deal severe pain to the ranger. However, with his philosophy of "a second strike is unnecessary" a ranger that is dealt a direct hit - namely, centre of the chest - will be protected from the bone-shattering near-fatal effects of the strike but they will still be de-morphed with a single strike. However, this combat style drops exponentially in effectiveness in subsequent encounters for any ranger who is intelligent enough to be a ranger should know enough not to treat him as a normal person and go at him from a distance. Tl;dr: He can beat a power ranger once if they underestimate him, he can hold his own against foot soldiers but will get whacked aside by the average monster. Personality:Leonard is a stern but understanding teacher who does not expect anything from his students which he would not expect from himself. He maintains a standard of honesty in his classroom and is willing to hear out any student who could not complete assigned homework due to special circumstance - a monster attack, for instance. Leonard is also willing to give advice and share wisdom he has gained from his own experiences, seeking to aid his students into being the best they could be. Crush: None Relationship Status: Single.
