Most students arrived in by large buses, gathering, amassing on the paths to the front gates. Teens and young adults of varying sizes, powers and even colours littered the front of the Academy, moving along like a gaggle of geese – back (or in this case, going) to their (new) nest. It was expected that the Academy was to bring a new light and future for the enlisted people. It is, after all, what the Academy aims to do: to train people to achieve a purpose in life, be it good or evil. Faces of determination and brightness could emanate brilliance and chivalry but ultimately sprout an evil future. To be frank, anything could happen in the Academy. There was no real bias or standard for how prospective superheros/super villains were supposed to behave. Not to mention, alliances were forged with years of endured camaraderie and brotherhood. This, of course, came from a good form of sociability, your personality and, needless to be mentioned, how powerful you were with your abilities. Taking this into consideration, and how she was brought to the Academy with two bodyguards to her side after exiting an armoured six-wheeled van, Sue didn't think the Academy bode anything well for her. Her whole life she’d communicated not only with sign language with peers from her specialized school and life, she’d also learnt various art forms that projected her emotions and messages far better than anything a person could ever say. It was a talent, a passion, a lifestyle that Sue relished in. She waxed euphoric to the beauty of music and voices, and the sight of fluidity, dynamics and almost formlessness of dancing. She was adored by many: the mute girl with the loudest voice. Now, Sue was nothing more than a threat to the well-being of those around her. Eyes converged to the sight of the 20 year old, 5’3” red head. It was the wrong message being invoked. Her powers allowed her to collapse an entire building with the aid of any sound, for instance, her clapping. How unfortunate for a girl who loves hearing and listening so much to be cursed with this devastating power. She did not mean any harm, but with large, security men around her, and large ear-muffs to deafen Sue perpetually, it was not going to be well for her. Sue didn't think the school would do much for her. Her life was forever changed with this spontaneous mutation. Most of all, she’s afraid no one knows sign-language here.
