"Unf... Hunger pains." Ramone complained, having made his way back to town. He needed food, and figured he had a few options to obtain it. Joel usually had food with him, and didn't usually mind giving some of it away. It might've been a possibility to mooch something off of Leon as an alternative to that, though Ramone figured he could probably just go home and raid what his Uncle had stored. It was probably the easiest way of going about it. Giving home was close, and the church was all the way across town. He was able to see Gordeu's house, and was surprised to not hear anything. Tt was usually loud, even at the distance he was currently at. "Must have went somewhere." Ramone said to himself, noticing somebody unfamiliar walking past the building he called home. He was going to ignore the person in question, even though they were going to cross paths soon, but noticed the basket the guy had in his hands. His eyes brightened up, imagining what he might've had in it. Maybe something delicious. Or at least something extra for him to eat before getting home. "Hey!" Ramone called out, watching as the approaching boy lowered the basket, seeming to stare. --- 'Aah... Someone else...' David was mildly worried, but smiled nonetheless. The two stopped before they crossed on the path, David holding the basket properly in one hand in order to get a better look at Ramone. While he was doing that, Ramone was eyeing his basket. Though David didn't really notice. Ramone grabbed David's free hand and shook it, grinning. "You must be the new guy!" Ramone sounded much happier than one would expect, though he had good reasons for the moment. "Seems that, like, you've already been getting welcomed pretty nicely, huh?" "Y'could say that." David replied, glancing away momentarily. Which was enough time for Ramone to let go of his hand and take a closer look into the basket. As David turned his head back, he raised an eyebrow. "What're you doin'?" He questioned, causing Ramone to stand strait as he answered; "Oh! Just looking at what you've got." He glanced around nervously for a second, before his stomach growled demanding for him to get to the point. "Uh, maybe you can help me out, neighbor. I have been working all day at the mines, and I'm totally hungry after a long day's work..." He gestured towards the hammer he was holding. "Maybe you could spare me something?" He sounded innocent enough to be believable, at least to someone who didn't know him. David, thinking it over for a moment, nodded. "Ah suppose. There's a lot in here, anyhow-" "Thanks!" Ramone cut him off after getting his approval, reaching into the taller boy's basket. The chick inside picked at the straps dangling from Ramone's arms as he pulled out the rather unfortunate loaf of bread. It smelled funny to Ramone, but he wasn't going to complain. "Ooohh... I could just take a big bite out of this right now!" David, realizing what Ramone was holding, tried to stop him. "That ain't somethin' you wanna-!" He stopped, as it was too late. Ramone took a big bite out of the loaf, and began skeptically chewing it. "...Mhm... This tastes kind'a... Weird... Mmf..." "That's because there's... Aah..." David paused for a moment, unsure if he should say it. He quickly decided it was for the best. "There's chicken poop on it." Ramone spat out the bread in his mouth, most of it landing in front of David, nearly onto his shoes. "Pfffft! WHAT?!" Ramone coughed, looking at the loaf of bread in his hands. David was right, there WAS poop on it. "Oh... Goddess." Ramone began feeling sick to his stomach. "I... I'm gonna go now... Urp..." David watched as Ramone walked off slowly, before slowly walking away himself, making sure to step over the mess on the ground. Birds would probably consider it some kind of treat. 'Didn't even get his name.' David thought to himself, though quickly upon hearing a rather horrible sound coming from behind him, David began walking faster towards home. --- Once he reached the farm, David sighed. "Well... That was pretty weird, wasn't it buddy?" David looked down at the basket for a moment, the chick seeming a bit more quiet. "I don't blame ya, that jus' kinda left me speechless too." He was going to head inside to get everything sorted out, but, alas, the chain of events wasn't over yet. Somebody seemed to be looking at the fields. He had no idea who it was, but he figured he might as well say hello. As the man could've possibly been here looking for him. Approaching the man, David made his presence clear. "Howdy!" He called out, offering a smile as he stopped a fair distance away. He seemed to be curiously observing the area, perhaps with some sort of actual interest. Maybe he wasn't here to see David after all. He recalled Mayor Alenko having been looking around when he first got here, maybe a few of the townsfolk just ending up coming around at times. Wasn't exactly a bad thing. "Is there somethin' I can help you with, or are ya just lookin' around?"
