The rain poured heavily upon the grey city setting a dark tone. It was early afternoon but the clouds blocking the sun made it appear much later in the day. Lights across the city had begun to lit, despite the early hour. Far in the darkened and abandoned corner of the city the Hybrids made their home. The blocks were filled with caved in buildings, rubble, and abandoned cars from the years of the war. No humans wandered this far from the safety of civilization, except the hunters. An eery silence had settled over the empty streets despite the heavy rainfall. Something felt and looked off. Something was wrong. Keaira stood beneath a long broken street light listening to the rain. Closing her eyes she listened for the sound of movement, of life. "It's too quiet." She murmured to herself. "Even with the rain. It's today..It's happening today." Unfolding large mismatched wings she bolted into the sky without a second thought. Trace slammed an angry fist on the small table. He stood in a room surrounded by military officials and scientists. "I told you to stop it." His voice took on an almost calm tone. "Well, sir, Y..You were overruled." A smaller man stood across the table trembling. "The..The president denied it himself..He..He says the broadcast with help..pro..promote peace." "Promote peace?" Trace scoffed. "You can tell me how the peace is.." Pulling his gun he aimed it at the man's head. "In hell." With out a moments hesitation a shot was fired through the mans skull scattering the contents of his head on the wall. "Bring me my pet." "Yes sir." Terra nodded and left the room to retrieve him. Arthur strolled through the rain, even though the rain made his footing even worse then usual he loved it, the smell, the taste, the ... he had fallen flat on his face. he heard a laugh from behind him, he glanced back with a slightly annoyed expression. "i hoping you're enjoying this Aqua" the girl smiled from her wheelchair "i am, thank you" "could you help me up?" he asked, sourly. she rolled over to him and stood up, pulling him to his feet before sitting back down "how are you that clumsy?" "hey you try walking with 2 extra feet and a front half that weighs 30 pounds more then your back half" "30 whole pounds? wow" she wheeled ahead of him before he could hit her, she laughed "come on, let's go find Alessia" "fine" he smiled a little at the girl as she slowly wheeled ahead of him "let me" he took the handles of the back and started pushing. "just don't fall on me" "don't worry, i use you to keep me up" Alessia had been curled up on the roof of a building when it started to rain, she had hissed and quickly escaped into the building, which she had been exploring since. she was crawling along, purring at the excitement of the dark exploration when she stumbled upon heaven, otherwise known as a former technophile hive. it was covered, wall-to-wall with technology, most of it 'broken' but as this had obviously been a technophile's home at some point (even if it was pretty old) she knew the machines would work give the right 'motivation'. she sat in a swivel chair that squeaked annoyingly and hurt her fragile ears. then flicked the on switch on what appeared to be the main computer, nothing, she hit it again, this time applying a charge and the computer came to life, the first thing she noticed was 2 little tabs, one labeled 'cameras', the other 'turrets' "oh this is going to be fun".
