Hey guys, it's great to have the Guild back, right? Anyway, I was thinking of creating a Nation Roleplay. I can think of Themes, histories, layouts, etc., but it would be good to have someone help out with a map, some Co-GM's to make sure everything stays fair (Because with everything to be done, some things can be over looked). [s]At this current time, I don't have ideas, and I won't until I return from work.[/s] I will create NPC's. The general "power level" (i.e. tech level and attack power) will make Large NPC's and most very large Nations equal. I may allow larger Nations in other regions with slightly more power, but I don't want people to think "Oh, I have bigger guns, I can kill you if I want." Either way, when I return home, I should have a general idea as to where to go with this, and might even start on a Nation Sheet. One thing I should add; there won't be any "god-like" Nations. No one with ultimate super powers to go rain on others or to seem like some sort of police force for the rest of the players. But there will be a NPC Nation, that when notices a very, very active Nation (Active in the sense of weapon firing and war-fighting), it will swarm them. (It will even swarm other NPC's). The more active, the more swarming. It will have the lowest technology (So essentially, even the lowest tech level player can kill them with ease.) and the largest population. Think of them as Wasps that act like the largest hive of honey bees, and your attacks are their honey, eventually, people do succumb to bees. This is still not a police force, the Nation is just here to show, the more you want to attack, the more the Nation that is attacking is going to feel what they are doing to another Nation to themself. This creates a somewhat "Cold War" affect, I think. Puts people on edge, great story development. Oh, and one more thing, that swarming NPC can be defeated. But it won't be as easy as destroying their homeworld. Wow, I didn't add this, I was thinking to... Anything can be done if explained in as much detail as possible. Something easily done is to have a humanoid with pointed ears because the genetics have them pointed. That might sound lazy on my behalf, but you see humans today, all with different sized ears. I very much doubt that it isn't possible for them to change shape in the slightest. The cartilage and flesh would also be moving, so it wouldn't be adding to the ear already. How efficient hearing is? That, I actually don't know. It's Saturday, stupid. Alright, let me get to work on ideas.
