I think that a lot of people think this. I've found however, after seven years of this, the more concrete info I have the happier I am. I love expanding worlds and I absolutely love reading what others write. I made a cup of tea and leisurely [i]enjoyed[/i] terminal's NS instead of just forcing myself to read. 

Alas, each to their own. If you wish to keep things short and sweet I'm happy with that. 
As for excluding segments; like I said the template is just that. Feel few to fiddle around with it.
