Kolkochi mansion Marren slouched deep in the plush chair face set in a half scowl as he rested his head on two fingers, the other hand swirling a silver goblet filled with wine. He had yet to leave the room, the black stained map still on the table with the ink long dried. He had been brooding since Calliope had laid down firmly her orders, words that he by tradition and parenting had to obey. With the death of his father and brother she took over the head of the family with their mother completely grief stricken. As head her word carried authority in the Kolkochi house, authority Marren simply could not ignore. Still, he had to work around that. A knock interrupted his thoughts, a manservant leaning into the room. “Ser, a Maria Gelder is at the door” It took a second for his alcohol filled mind to recognize the name. His eyes perked up “Ah, let her in” The manservant nodded and he downed the wine, smooth and sweet down his throat and set about trying to make himself presentable, fetching another goblet. At the sound of loud footsteps, the tell tale stomp of a soldiers sabatons, he cast his eyes towards the door where Maria stood. “Welcome” he said, pouring wine in a goblet and raising it in front of him, looking at the woman with a questioning look.
