The dude, who by the way was already known for his aggressive neighborhood watch tactics, carrying his concealed weapon, stepped out of his car and followed Trayvon Martin after explicitly being told not to by the police dispatcher—let's repeat that: George Zimmerman, a decade older and some seventy pounds heavier than Trayvon Martin, carrying a concealed weapon, [i]chose to pursue Martin[/i], who was unarmed. He then murdered Trayvon Martin, was [i]not[/i] convicted—not even of manslaughter!—because of Stand Your Ground (which doesn't count if you're a young black man being followed by an armed man, apparently) and then proceeded to actually make money off of his murdering a boy. Tell me again how he's a victim.

As for the racism, it seems pretty clear that Zimmerman holds some racist views (you think this would have happened if it was a white kid?). Being Hispanic doesn't stop him from being racist.

ETA: Speaking of racism and the whole "well it was self defense" thing: [url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Angela_Corey#Marissa_Alexander_case]Marissa Alexander[/url] (prosecuted by the same lawyer as George Zimmerman!) killed exactly nobody after being abused by her husband. For some reason she doesn't get to invoke Stand Your Ground.

Kill a kid? Well, sure, it was self defense. Fire a warning shot at a wall? 20 years in prison for you, lady. See how self defense is exactly what we want it to be?
