"No offense taken," Joseph found himself chuckling. He had never truly looked his age at any point in his life, it was no surprise to him. Pulling off the scarf from around his neck, he placed it over his eyes to block out the light, and quickly fell into slumber despite the uncomfortableness of the tree branch. Joseph awoke to the sound of Buck's voice, offering him breakfast. He felt a brief pang of guilt - this man had been so welcoming and generous to him and he had given him nothing. Remembering that he had brought some food with him from his ranch, he pulled out two apples and handed one of them to Buck. "Thank you for your kindness," he said. "I was so afraid I would be alone...that I wouldn't find another person who wasnt an undead. I'm just very glad we crossed paths."
