He only knows about the other races from books he has read and the stories he has heard from his friends, mentors and such. So its not surprising his opinions are stereotypical.

But would you like me to remove that part of my post then? I had originally just assumed everyone smelled since no one seemed to include the fact that their character ever washed themselves during the trip. But if you change that and if the stereotype of orcs being smelly does not apply I guess I need to adjust my post.
