Hey guys, Sketcher convinced me to post up a CS for this RP, and knowing him, it seemed like a fun idea. I must admit I do not have the largest knowledge base of AoT, but I shall do my best to learn quickly, and if you see anything that I have done that doesn't make sense just let me know! ^^ I hope this CS is acceptable, if not I shall make whatever changes are necessary. So, uh... Here it is I suppose. (Please don't stab me)
Name: Samuel Drake Gender: Male Age: 16 Nationality: British (though he has more of a mixed nationality than anything) Appearance: Out of Uniform: *In this picture he would be the one at the front, minus any of the futuristic equipment of course, and the sword would be the blade they use in the military, not the same as the one he is holding in the picture. In Uniform: District: Trost Personality: Samuel is very quiet, to the point where he will only speak when spoken to, or if the situation requires it. He does not like interacting with others, and if someone attempts to start a conversation with him, he will answer with as short a response as he can in order to end the conversation. He comes across as uncaring and emotionless to most people due to the fact that he keeps everything bottled inside and refuses to show anyone his true feelings. Samuel has a very difficult time trusting anybody, and even if someone does manage to earn his trust, it is still incredibly unlikely that he would share his feelings with them. After witnessing his older brother die trying to protect him, Samuel became unwilling to put his own life at risk to help another. This isn’t to say that Samuel is only interested in his own safety, but he believes that those who put themselves directly in harm’s way to save another are idealistic fools who are doomed to die meaninglessly. Despite all of this, Samuel actually has a very strong moral compass, and he believes strongly in justice. Though he will not put himself directly in harm’s way, Samuel will do whatever he can to help those that he feels are unable to help themselves. He is not afraid to fight the Titans, though it is more to do with him refusing to show any feelings rather than from being truly brave. While fighting, Samuel keeps his calm demeanour, preferring to fight with intelligence rather than brute strength and aggression. Backstory: Growing up, Samuel was stuck in a home with an abusive drunk for a father and a mother who was too terrified to do anything about it. His only solace came in the form of his older brother Weston who always stuck up for him and, as a result, often got the worst of the beatings. The two were as close as they could possibly be, spending the majority of their time together. Whenever their father was too drunk to be beating them or was out of the house, Weston would take Samuel into the district and show him what life could be like. Their family was poor, as their mother was forced to work, while their father stayed at home drinking away her earnings. As a result, Weston and Samuel were often forced to steal in order to get food to eat and new clothes when their old ones became too tattered and worn. Samuel was always the lookout during these ‘operations,’ as he had a keen sense for detecting trouble. Weston always said that he got it from all of the times he’d had to avoid their father during his drunken rampages. Whatever the reason for it, Samuel and Weston made a good team, and they never took more than they needed. As they grew older, their father’s beatings became more frequent and much more violent. On Samuel’s ninth birthday, Weston had gone out alone in order to get him a surprise gift. Their father had gotten particularly wasted very early in the day, and as a result he was growing increasingly angry and violent. Samuel managed to avoid him for most of the day, but when Weston returned with the gift, things fell apart. Their father saw Samuel with the gift and accused him of stealing it, threatening to beat the boy until he couldn’t walk. Attempting to defend his brother, Weston stepped in front of the drunken brute brandishing a lamp, which was the closest thing he could find as a weapon. Tearing the lamp from his hands, their father used it to beat the boy again and again, until Weston lay on the floor, unmoving. Blinded with rage, Samuel charged his father, attempting to gain revenge for his brother’s brutal murder. He was knocked unconscious from a single vicious blow, probably the only thing that saved his life that day. When he regained consciousness, Samuel discovered that his brother’s body was no longer there, and his father threatened him that he would share the same fate if he ever spoke a word about what had happened. Samuel spent the next few years in solitude. Spending as much time as he could away from his home, he survived off the streets, stealing what he needed to get by. Samuel became quite skilled at taking care of himself, and he had a knack for getting in and out of difficult places with relative ease. Arriving home one night, Samuel discovered his mother beaten so badly that she could barely stand. Instead of becoming overcome with rage, Samuel felt a strange sense of calm. He understood what he had to do. Waiting for his father to inevitably pass out from all of the booze, Samuel sat and planned. The moment that his father fell asleep, Samuel entered his kitchen, took a knife from the block and headed into his father’s room. Standing beside the man he hated so much, Samuel placed a hand over his father’s mouth, causing the man to stir and open his eyes. Locking eyes with him, Samuel coldly plunged the knife into his throat and watched as his father’s life faded away. Once the deed was done, Samuel went to the police, informing them that his father had been killed. When they arrived back at the house, he intended to confess to the crime and pay for his sins. Fate, it seemed, had other plans. For the first time ever, Samuel’s mother stepped up to his defense. She plead guilty for the murder, stunning him into silence. Taking her into custody, the police saw the bruises that covered the woman’s face and body, and decided that the murder had most likely been a form of self-defense. They managed to get Samuel’s mother a reduced sentence, but even then she was sentenced to several years before she had a chance for parole. With nowhere else to go, and no other real choices, Samuel enlisted in the military. It was his way of attempting to atone for his sins, and a way of getting off the streets and away from his past. Other: *He has a keen sense for when danger is approaching *He is skilled with free running due to his years spent on the streets *He has a difficult time working in a team due to his lack of desire to communicate with others *If you manage to get him talking for any length of time then you should know he finds you highly interesting *He has a problem with authority, especially those he feels are undeserving of their position *He has no problem with killing if he believes it is for the right reason (Excited to join this Lost World! Let me know if there’s anything I should change, or anything that is not to your liking and I shall do my best to fix it asap!)
