Not sure if you can go that big, I am planning to limit ships a bit to make sure nobody decides to make a super powerful faction and try to roll over everyone in short order.

You can have billions maybe trillions of orks but you will not start with the resources to move them.

Well my warboss is dreaming of starting a WAAAAHG! that large. I was thinking because he was part of a huge WAAAAGH! that battled the Gigantic tyranid fleet before the Imperium shot the Emperor. He became the warboss of one of the feral planets and is looking to relive the epic battle he fought against the space locust. I don't think my character would actually be able to make a WAAAGH! a big as Ghazghkull's but he is ambitious enough to try and make one.

I know its late to ask, but could i create a legion for chaos? If you dont know 40k lore there were 20 legions during the crusade. The Second and 11th legions went missing. So if possible could i use one of Them?

You could just create a splinter warband. Or rename a recently turned traitor chapter. That happens all the time.

And the second and 11th legions didn;t go missing. It is implied heavily that they were destroyed by Imperial order. The other primarchs met those others and refused to talk about them for some shameful reason. GW hints that the space wolves destroyed one and the other is actually believed to have been integrated into the ultramarines which accounted in part for their massive size during the crusade.

Well no one knows. Its said the space wolves destroyed Them as in i Think It was prospero burns? That it Was not the first Time the Wolves were used against fellow marines. but in another book they are called the lost and the damned respectively. also in The First Heretic lorgar hints that they may have been absorbed into the ultramarines. And Gregor Eisenhorn refers to the "Primarch" of the White Consuls Space Marine Chapter

I forget which book but there is also a conversation between Dorn and Sigmisund about the wasted lives and lost potential after starring at the vacant XI and XVIII plinths in the palace. As if he remembered their respective destructions. I think there was even a theory that the blood ravens were one of those chapters. Spoken by a chaos sorcerer.

Ya, Its safe to say that whatever happened they were probably disbanded, destroyed and re-intergrated into other chapters. And it all happened fairly early in the crusades.

true but in another book they are referenced as absent and not dead or disbanded and in another book they are just called the lost. So really there is no real way of telling what happened to them. Even the creators themselves don't call them dead only absent or second edition ultra marines codex they reference "it seems likely that Legions II and XI fought for Horus at least during the beginning of the Heresy" or something along those lines. or in Horus's vision where he morns the untapped potential that will never be.

In the latest canon they are heavily implied to have fallen in some manner prior to the Horus Heresy and were expunged from Imperial records with one wiped out and the other absorbed so I am not allowing homebrew legions though homebrew chapters and warbands are allowed.

I have no idea. I wont' be paying for it in all probability. So I have no idea what factions and classes are currently planned to be available for free. I remember when the game first started to be talked about one of the devs said something about only orks being free to play. But now apparently there are going to be a small group of classes for each. I have no idea.

If I had to choose. Maybe a dire avenger. I can assume thst would be free to play from the elder side. Maybe a devastator marine or an ork shoota. it all depends on how much a free account would be permitted.

Sorry had a few days away from the laptop working. I am still interested in making an Imperial Guard faction...numbers wise I am a lot more clear now. WIll plan my faction accordingly.
