I am all here and going nowhere, should anyone wonder. I am a persistent presence, and unless I outright declare myself out (or something happens to me) I will never go anywhere as long as at least a single other person remains. I just may not always be very talkative, and sometimes I preoccupy myself with something or other RP-unrelated ... not so much because I have to, but because it seemed interesting at the time being. (Why, and you folks are in a lot of hurry to get the RP going. It hadn't even been a full twenty-four hours since she last left an OoC note before the first time you essentially declared her MIA. Give the woman a break!) @Prince: I can't say this is the typical roleplay for me, either ... far more relaxed in terms of character creation than I am used to, and even more high-fantasy than most of the high-fantasy RPs I have been in. (I would probably join a scifi RP by this point, rather than another fantasy one, but it seems that there is a distinct lack of harder scifi, or scifi RPs I personally find both interesting and good in general.) As a writer I am all over the place - although alternate-world low-level hard science fiction is by far the most prevalent as far as genres go. As a roleplayer I typically go for whatever is realistic in terms of the given world ... which the high-strung RPs you described would probably conflict with. I, after all, wouldn't know and do not like to plan in advance what my character would be reacting like, nor, for the matter, whether they will even live for so long, should the RP be more combant-oriented or anything happen which, in my mind, would put an end to said character. (I've had it happen on more than one occasion that another player's character killed mine without them even intending to.) I also tend to hold quality of writing over everything else, even if I sometimes do force a post out when tired out of my mind just so the other players wouldn't be waiting behind me for more than a week. (Relatedly, I am not exactly fond of posting schedules.) Post length is all over the place, though usually - I shall refer to Elynne's sheet as an example here - I type a lot. (And hrm. You were actually half-serious with the singing comment? I admit I took it as a sarcastic remark when you first posted it... But sure, if you actually do it, post it here, too. Could be interesting.)
