It is stated that you can have a few "odds and ends", so having a knife or something like that is fine. I'd just like to avoid further guns as, like you say, this was an exception based on the fact that he is the sort of coward character that would use one to hide behind.

I would like it if you could flesh this out more, but it's just a minor thing. He's approved as it is, but I'd be happy if you could expand that to also tell a bit about some of his exploits, perhaps. I'd especially like it if you wrote how he learned about it. Did he find a teacher, what was his name, how did he find him. How was he taught? Something like that so it doesn't feel like it's just thrown on the CS :)
