As he joked about her being a city slicker, she hip checked him. He laughed as they walked out the door. It was a great evening. There was a cool breeze and all felt right with the world. Miles couldn't believe his luck. He had a decent roommate and had met an incredible girl. As long as he could pass his classes, he didn't see how anything could go wrong. He couldn't explain it, but he loved the feeling of Karah by his side. Having his arm around her as they walked made him feel like all was right with the world. They laughed and talked as they walked looking for a place to eat. Karah would playfully push him as he made fun of city life. In turn he would pretend to get mad when she made fun of living out in the country. They came upon a restaurant and decided to enter. It looked like a typical Italian place. The hostess sat them at a booth and Miles scooted into the seat. Karah decided to sit besides him and playfully told him to scoot down. Miles smirked and scooted over, allowing her to sit beside him. The place was fairly packed with other students from on campus. They both looked at the menu and talked about what looked good to each other. Miles' paranoia pipped up and told him all this happiness wouldn't last. It was actually right this time, but not in the way Miles thought. They both ordered and sat there acting like two high school sweethearts as they waited for their food.
