"I cannot see." - "Y-Y-You can't see?"

He couldn't believe it, after all this time, the words he had longed for. Perfect. Just perfect, there it was! Finally. She couldn't see it. Words that brought color into his grey life. He started to dance...and to laugh, a laughter that would fit a madman, to the kind of person who had no need for logic nor reason, for someone who did as he pleased, and he hadn't laughed in ages. "Alright, alright, as much as you despise me, I am a man who keeps his word. As promised, you can die now." With that he turned around and left the cold, dead, unlit room, not even turning back to the unmoving, chained blind figure that had a smile of joy on her lips.

"Mercurius." He said, walking down the pitch-black halls as a voice responded. "Yes, my Lord?" - "My loyal Servant, I shall ask you one last time, your last chance to regain your freedom or follow me into Abyss." - "I shall follow you until Destiny rips us apart, I owe you my Fate, Lord." Of course, HE already knew the answer, but HE had to ask regardless. HE hadn't attained true freedom yet, HE was still chained like a dirty slave. But HE knew that would soon change, all HE had to do was to wait. The pieces were already set in place, the woman had given him the signal. "Mhmhm, I shall not dissapoint you." Stopping in his words the man now entered another room, a room that couldn't be described in simple words, a room full of everything and yet nothing. "Time to make The World our enemy." With that, everything was set in place, all pieces where they belonged to and, as the woman basically told him: "Check."
Chapter 1: The Beginning of The End
"U...Urgh" Her mouth was dry, her body felt sluggish. The girl who fell from the sky had regained consciousness. Slowly opening her eyes just to find herself in an unknown location. "Where...?" She was chained, trapped, in some...house? What happened? Right...she..the Goddess, the escape, was she caught after all? So many had wasted their life just so she could make it but she ultimately failed, no? As bad as she felt now, she had to do something, like escaping. And thus, the girl who had just regained consciousness wasted time and effort trying to set herself free from the well made prison.

Alier, freelancer and jack-of-few trades, wasn't happy at all with life. Then again, he doubted anyone would be happy when a heaven-sent girl falls from the sky and destroys his home. It was a shabby, make-shift home, of course, but still, that shack had quite a few memories invested into it. Now that it was but a collection of wooden debris cause by the impact of some blonde, well, that didn't exactly make him smile. Sure, there may have been questions such as 'how did she survive such a drop?', but those were irrelevant compared to the bigger questions that arose. Though Alier wasn't a 'proper' member of the society in Ruben, and most evaded him like the plague, even he had heard that the town's priest or shaman or holy man or whatever had passed away, just a few days after the girl had landed. Furthermore, he had heard that the crops were failing for the farmers as well, and, recently, Mr. Hunter had broke his leg, becoming unable to...well...hunt. Lots of weird things going on, really.

Which was why he had, under the instruction of Master Merchant, employer of a friend of his, tied up the comatose woman, if only to make sure that she didn't turn out to be a demon of misfortune and attempted to kill them all.

Nevertheless, he was surprised that she woke up at all. Definitely not human, to recover from something like that so easily.

"Morning," he said, nonchalantly, before calling out, "Oi, Azil, the comet's awake!"

The call was heard, though Azil was entranced with her duties in the kitchen at the moment. You see, due to the harvest beginning to decline, prices on many of the ingredients she used had sky rocketed as many would probably not be seen until this strange event had passed. Which pressed the girl to be a little more careful when making the meals. Today she had to decide between using the potatoes or not using the potatoes, if she added them to the soup there'd be one less ingredient for tomorrow, but potatoes in soup is pretty good.

"Screw it, we'll have salad tomorrow the potatoes are going in." Azil thought to herself as she quickly dumped the chopped potatoes into the soup as it bubbled and rippled, steam rolling through the kitchen and into the room where her friend Alier was staring at the bad-luck girl. Oh yeah that's right, didn't he just say someth-

"She's awake?!" Dropping the wooden spoon onto the oven and lifting the foliage of her servant's gown up, Azil scurred quickly out to the room where the unwelcome guest was ~restrained~. The fact that this girl had the body mass to destroy a house while also surviving the fall uninjured, only to awake shortly after defied all reasoning that this little girl could muster up in her uncanny head. And as she made it to the room she plopped herself down next to the two, assuming to herself that she should be present if some sort of interrogation were to occur.

"Morning,"

"Eh?" At first the girl didn't even realize there was someone else in the room, not until he actually said something, most likely calling out for someone else. He didn't look like anyone she knew, then again her memories were hazy anyways. Before she could muster up any words another person entered the room, this time a girl.

At first impression, neither of them looked really evil nor dangerous; except for the fact that she was in chains and...wait...she wasn't quite sure but could it be that she was actually naked? Goddamn pervs! "Unchain me at this moment, you brute!" She finally responded with a slight red head.

Good. Azil would be helpful in this interrogation, if only so Alier could have an extra hand to restrain this mysterious individual, or perhaps someone to call for help in case they couldn't restrain the meteor girl at all. She seemed to be rather human, but with humanoid meteors, you never knew. Perhaps she'd try to fly away as well, but that was why he had also tied her down to the solid bed.

His greeting, though, was met with initial confusion by that woman, before she suddenly started spouting out stuff about unchaining her. When they had used ropes to bind her. Ropes that weren't even of the scratchy, salt-hardened kind. As someone who most definitely wasn't a brute, the white-haired young man wasn't exactly pleased. Coughing, he motioned in the general direction of his now-destroyed home, and said, “Brute? Excuse me, but should I tell you WHO decided to destroy my house with her landing? No, you shall not be unroped until you explain to me who you are, and why you fell from the sky.”

As the witch-woman screamed to be freed from her binds, and Alier responded with the noting of his broken home, Azil looked between the two rather awkwardly. She squinted as, yes, the girl had been unclothed but that was because she had fallen from the sky naked, and while she as the servant could have probably offered the girl some clothes- decided not to, what if this witch carried some skin disease that could make her turn green or set her on fire? You never know, and reinforced by the bad occurrences happening, she wasn't taking any chances with this mysterious person.

"Should I go heat up some iron rods? I'm sure they'll work rather well for the next part." Azil offered, pulling herself up and walking towards Alier with her head low. He wasn't her master, but as a paying tenant of this house she was directed still to show her respect. After her question though, she shot another glance to the.. girl.. trying to make eye contact, if she turned to stone, it was a willing sacrifice to be made, the girl would be executed and everyone would live happily ever after.

There wasn't really anything the girl could read from the motion her captor did, apart from having absolutely no direction of sense she was kinda tied to a bed, remember? And unless the room she was in had huge ass windows where she could see the ruins of a certain building while being tied to a bed...well, really, there was no point. He did however mention she fell from the sky...right...the beings that gave her life...her escape, the reason for her descend, things slowly came back to her.

Indeed, the chances she was taken captive by the ones that butchered all the people she had bonds too was relatively low. With that, more intense memory returned now as well, painful memories, memories that she wanted to forget on the other hand, but on the other, always keep in her mind. No, she had to steel herself for now, even if she lost everything and everyone dear to her, she had to move forward, or the death of many would have been in vain. She had to steel herself, especially towards those, humans she'd take, showing no weakness. Not intimidated the least by the remarks of the sadistic maid she replied. "I take I successfully arrived in Ruben then? Good. I am not your enemy. Now, with that out of the way, if you would be so kind to unchain me, get me proper clothing, a warm meal and a beverage..." Going after how she felt, she could only guess she already took properties of a weak human body. "...and let me speak to Raziel." Raziel, the name of the person that had the privilege of talking to Sayuri, well, before she got mutilated and butchered. "Your priest, shaman, or whatever you might call him." She added, just in case of the very small possibility that those two did not know.

It's like she didn't even understand what situation she was in. While Alier could agree that Azil's casual threat of torture was rather off-handed and unnecessary, at least until this sky-girl showed her true colors, the freelancer really didn't think that she should be telling them to do anything.

There was also that thing with 'unchain', when they were clearly using ropes to bind her. Had she still not noticed that? Or did she simply not care?

Rolling his eyes at whatever she was babbling about, Alier replied, letting a little more irritation seep into his tone, “Do you understand what position you're in? Explain why you're not my enemy, after you exploded my house. Explain to me who you are, because humans don't survive a fall from that height unharmed. And while you're at it, the priest's dead, so no, you can not speak to him.”

Really, maybe he should have called over one of the uglier guards, to pose all threateningly and stuff.

Alier was being much too polite to the witch girl, she was obviously a 'not' a human and thus should not have been treated as one. But of course, this was not her place to say, so the servant girl simply curtsied to no one in particular, giving the polite gesture to only the room itself and turning away to return to her kitchen duties. She felt more comfortable there anyways, the kitchen was somewhere Azil spent a lot of time, it was homey and it would still be at this moment if she hadn't left the stove burning.. The soup was nearly boiling over it's pot when she entered the secluded room that was beginning to fill with smoke, as if by instinct she ran to the blackening pot, picking it up by the hot metal handles and placing onto the opposing counter to cool. Her arms recoiled at the heat in the process, but she'd been so used to this sorta for a long time, hardened nerves of steel.

The food though, was still good.

"Soup's ready!" Azil announces, taking the nearby wooden spoon to stir it thoroughly.

Her demands were still not met, these humans were really cocky! The girl was just about to show them how much she cared about the position she was in as the guy told her about the priests death. "He is what?! Unexpected....I didn't expect the bond to be so strong...alright..." She collected her thoughts for a moment, their connection was really that good? She always played it down...urgh...why'd she had to die. With that, the woman allowed herself a single tear before she was a lot more serious now. "Explain to you why I am not your enemy? Because, I assume, you are a citizen of this town and I care about this town. Yes that is exactly while I came crashing into one of its buildings...that was just pure coincidence. Unless your name would happen to be 'Alier Free', but I assume this person to be kind and gentle and not a rude brute that chains..." it didn't matter if she was prisoned with ropes, chains or even some kind of bondage, it was all equally bad. "... a young deity naked onto some bed and refuses her lowly human needs."

"Care about this town?"

Alier stifled a smile, wondering if he shared the same sentiments as her or not. After all, being an orphan, and then being ostracised due to his jobless nature had sorta distanced him from the rest of the town. Though he wasn't totally self-sufficient yet, if given the proper amount of resources, Alier would have left the town in a heartbeat. Cocking an eyebrow at the fact that she did, indeed, know whose house she had utterly destroyed with her descent, the young man scoffed, "I AM Alier Free, and I do not think that anyone would be happy with someone who destroys their house, chooses not to apologize for it, and instantly demands respect that has not been earned."

"As it is," he continued, folding his arms together, "all my spare clothes were destroyed by your arrival, and I doubt that anyone else cares about whether you're clothed or not."

Barely hearing the conversation going on between Alier and the witch girl, Azil kept to her business pouring and scooping the contents of the large cooking pot into separate bowls nearby. While most of the servings were evenly distributed, one was elegantly decorated with some extra ingredients at the surface, while another visibly had less soup than the others. Finishing the routine portioning of the food, she took two bowls and headed back towards the source of the voices.

"Foods done, didn't you hear? You can eat in the kitchen, or at the dinner table.."

In succession to these wards, she flatly set the bowls down upon the ground near the two. One being the less-filled bowl, and the other being a normal one with the amount that most of the denizens of the house would receive. Azil grinned wide, curtsied, and turned away once again to give the two some privacy. Though she caught herself as she was making her exit, she was a servant after all, and regardless of her feelings it was her job to provide to those within the house.

"I'll fetch the stranger some of my spare clothes, though, only for the well-being of the younger ones staying here."

Waving promptly without looking back to the two, nor caring what was said afterwards, she headed back through the kitchen and towards the lobby of sorts, which held the stairway that lead to the upper tier of the home.

"you ARE Alier Free?! But...But...what was she thinking? What was she...no...I am sorry..." She looked up at the ceiling, now she couldn't hold it back anymore, with tears in her eyes she put on a pathethic smile. "I am the worst, aren't I? A week has most likely not even passed and I was nearly badmouthing you? Despite everyone dying and entrusting me with this important mission? I should have fought alongside you...maybe I could have..." made a difference, but she knew she couldn't have, it wasn't a question about quality vs quantity, no, THAT wasn't even a fight, it was a one-sided slaughter, and she simply survived, and she would fullfill the goddess wish, she couldn't allow herself to die.

Regaining her composure she didn't pay too much attention to the maid that brought her food and was even as nice as hinting her towards possible clothing. Clearing her throat she spoke. "Excuse my inproper attitude, but waking up tied to a bed while being affected by hunger and thirst does not seem to be a good feeling. That I destroyed your house was unfortunate too, BUT, on the bright side, you won't need it anymore. I will be direct, my entity is a spirit. To keep it simple for now, I suppose demi-god is a proper human comparison. I used to serve the goddess which realm of influence happened to be your village. As you may have realized..." She wasn't able to take a lookt outside or anything but she simply assumed it was like that. "..the quality of your life has been steadily decreased. That is because your goddess died. I am here to seek your help, accompany me to the gods realm and punish her murderer! To retake the realm she governed about. Why you you may ask? I don't know either, but in brink of the attack there wasn't much time to explain, but it is your Fate to fullfill this role!"

Man, she really was a bipolar sort of person, wasn't she? From indignant to grovelling, all wrapped up in a delicious bundle of swinging emotions. However, Alier was curious about her rather bold claim about being a spirit. It would make sense then, that something that's already 'dead' couldn't just die by falling through the sky and destroying a house. As she started a dramatic speech about vengeance and fate, the young man simply focused on eating the soup that Azil brought in, nodding with appreciation at the maid. It was a bit better than the soup that he could make, after all, even though his pride as an independent adult only allowed him to think of it as 'slightly better' than his own cooking.

"So, what you're saying is that there's more than one goddess, they all control different territories...and for whatever reason, killing the goddess that killed my goddess is going to save this place? Mind explaining the reasoning behind this?"
