Thane It was rare that Thane could feel his skin crawl from the presence of another person and unfortunately, tonight was one of those rarities. Astrid's drunken appearance brought him a certain level of comfortableness, her desperate attempt to be... something, completely lost on him. She was still clearly bitter over earlier, practically to the point that he could taste it in the air. He had nothing to say to her, and when she addressed him, saying it was an adult party Thane struggled with the urge to roll his eyes and walk away. He hated liquor. The smell. The taste. What it did to people. Astrid's brother, Jack, the guy that was sailing at half mast whenever Erin was in the same room as him, made an appearance and dragged away Astrid, excusing her for being drunk. Something that was some relief to Thane. "I'm starting to think-" Thane began, already feeling the overwhelming urge to dip. Astrid's kissing of Erin caught him off guard, cutting his train of thought completely as a single thought raced through his head, That's my thing you jerk. Erin's fury was already welling up in her until she caught a glance of Thane who was giving her his usual stare. The 'I don't care what you want to do, you're not going to do it' stare. A figure caught the corner of his eye. The socially awkward boy, Kindle, Thane thought his name was, stumbling near them with a look of disgust on his face. "Great." Thane sighed, stepping before Erin as the meek boy spewed out his liquor which caused Thane's skin to crawl for the second time tonight as he felt the skin on his neck moisten, his hair dampen, and the scent of liquor filled his nose. It was enough to make him noxious, his face scrunching up for a moment as the scent filled his nostrils, becoming ever present as the liquor seemed to seep into his skin, hair, and clothing further. He was even wearing his favourite (only) leather jacket, which had been kept rather immaculate until now. He'd have to take care of this before the smell got to him any further. Thane's eyes quickly scanned Erin, at least pleased that she hadn't gotten any liquor on her. Jack had already returned from dealing with his sister and was now on his way to make a move on Erin, his smile reminding him of a half-assed son of Aphrodite. Thane's head drifted up to Erin's sleeve, giving it a slight tug. "I'm going to go back to the cabin and wash off the beer Kindle spewed all over me." He said with a long sigh, his eyes drifting from Erin to Jack, and back to her. Perhaps he shouldn't ask her to come back with him. It'd be good for her to make new friends, right? Find someone to become close with beyond him? She wanted that, didn't she? "Night," Thane mumbled, turning back to the way that they came. He walked with his hands deep inside his pockets, his eyes fixated on the ground as he tried to make his way though the crowd, most people parting at the sight of the Hand of Death. It seemed his reputation still preceded him. At least that was useful in getting out of the party. Talk of starting a fire caught his ear and when he gave a glance to the source of the noise, he caught eyes with the redheaded daughter of Ares. He gave a disapproving shake of his head, continuing to walk past them as he looked back ahead of him. That wouldn't be his fight to deal with. Dionysus or one of the other campers could handle that ticking time bomb. Right now he just wanted to disappear into his cabin and rinse off the sticky residue in his hair and on his neck and clothes. --- Auguste Auguste slid out of the window as she made her way over, his eyes lingering on her as long as they could as he slipped out, dropping onto his feet and turning to watch her as she followed suit. A smirk grew across his face as she leaned out the window, reenacting the most iconic scene from Billy Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. He couldn't help but play along as he reached out to her, touching her cheek. "I, a Montague, and you a Capulet," Auguste stifled a laugh, stepping close to her, moving a hand to her hip, "Doth desire you, dearest Juliet. Will you let I take all yourself?" He brought a hand up to her hand and helped her trough the window, bringing her feet down gently to the ground. "My fair Juliet," Auguste said softly, slipping an arm around her, resting his hand on her hip, "I hope you don't mind." He couldn't help but let out a giggle, giving her a small squeeze and bringing her closer to him as he did. He walked as slowly as he could, wanting to take as much time as possible to arrive at the party. It was best to be fashionably late. The bonus of being seen with the lovely pink haired girl now known as Juliet from a mile away was an added bonus. "I want to apologize in advanced, Syl." Auguste said softly, his eyes fixated on the cabin of Ares. His grip on her loosened slightly as he thought he caught the eyes of the boy who was getting awfully friendly with her earlier. Auguste continued, his voice almost remorseful, "I think someone's going to get into a fight with me tonight and I'd hate for you to be around when that happens."
