-Caroline- Caroline wearily rubbed her eyes, having worked on mending the quilt until she couldn't see the needle and thread she was holding in the dim candlelight. Blowing it out, Caroline blindly tied a knot and shoved her sewing stuff back into the small basket she'd gotten them from and set it aside on a rickety wooden table. She shivered slightly-winter would be upon them anytime now. Shaking loose her curly hair, Caroline crawled under the covers and closed her eyes. Outside, it was pitch black, a starless night. The moon was nowhere to be seen either. Caroline twitched unconsciously as a particularly biting gust of wind blew fearlessly through her small cottage. Opening her eyes, Caroline padded softly to the window, gazing out at the sleepy village. She noted that there were a few dots of light, and shivered involuntarily, thinking of all the vampire stories she had been told as a child. Sighing, Caroline went back to bed. Eventually, she fell asleep, her face serene and her body relaxed. Outdoors, the night crept on.
